Megalodon worked the first days because it was one location people could meet, now with the Skeleton Thrones, I don't believe it works the same way...
i have not seen anyone at any Group Throne since the Patch..
but maybe thats just me ?

@m4dkraut you'll need to sail around and find somebody willing to help you. Just standing there may not be the best way to find helpers.
The servers are a bit crew-less. Not everyone is doing it, maybe because they already did it or find that useless to do.
The firs night me and my crew got lucky because we found the only other ship in that session and they were doing thrones too.
So we managed to do it together.All other sessions I went there was nobody interested to do this. They shoot on sight and chase us as we approach.
I got lucky last night and found someone to it with. Until he died while bouncing off rocks.
I did find a crew sitting on the Marauders Arch throne just waiting for someone like me to come along and join them. I've no idea how long they had be waiting.
But I understand the OP point, you could have 5 different crews all waiting in vain on 5 different large thrones.
Me and my wife almost didn't get Meg done in time due to not being able to find enough people. However we did the group thrones last night and got them all. It seems very hit or miss when it comes to these types of events/dlc and that is not a good thing for people with limited time. I get why they do it, trying to bring people together but it just doesn't always work and they should not expect people to spend most of their play time just trying to find people to do said event with. They may actually push people away from the game if they keep this up. I will say the fact that you don't need 5 people to do it is a step in the right direction. Only needing people from 2 crews(which can be two solo sloops too two gally's) is a much better idea.
Loved the event, but not so keen on every event/dlc so far forcing me to play/find other people just to enjoy the content. Some people just don't have the kind of time it can take to find others.
