This is honestly the first time I'm shaking my head at Rare. This is the first time that I will not be able to convince my crew to do this content. Because from what I've learned so far the extent of ST is to... Sit in chairs. No... Loot. No summoned boss fight. Nothing. Just... Chairs. I'm almost embarrassed to tell my friends that.

Didn't realize that it was delayed.It's good to see that they weren't placed in the areas we have already checked. :o)

I will not be able to convince them to shy away from the alternative for... Chairs. Maybe ill do it by myself or with a random crew... If there was an epic fight to be had with each "throne" it'd be a no-brainer. Sadly that is not the case.

That's fair enough. You really should think of it differently than just 'chairs'. It's figuring out what place to go to, it's about making uneasy alliances and it's about bang good aim with your cannon which is harder than you might think.
This is just a temporary event to kill time until Cursed Sails comes out next month. So expecting an epic fight is out of the question. However, you might still get an epic fight. We surely did. There were two other ships that wanted to ruin things for my crew and the crew we were doing the multi-crew thrones with. We had a great fight and took em down!
@murkrage My sloop partner was dead set on them being in the game. I just thought he knew something I may have missed as I don't subscribe to reddit or other media.
After about an hour and a half of cannoning ourselves over every large rock we found, he finally made a post here asking for clues and was told of the delay. lol
@murkrage It wasn't all bad. We did engage with a galleon who persisted to butt-in to our game session. It was fun making them look bad by out-sailing them in our sloop before doubling back for another drive-by hit and run.
My mate boarded them several times, killed them single-handed many times, when he wasn't cursed by lag.

If you try it like @Murkrage said and the without using google or other ways to cheat to get them. So lets say you actually try and find them and try and sit on them.... It actually alot of fun! Took us a few hours to find them but also to get to them :) and we had a blast.

You sit in chairs. Haven't you heard? :P From the sounds of it the fun is the riddles to find them. So avoid "cheating" by looking up the locations. Talk to the Bilge Rats to start.

In practice though? Today was one hell of a silly ride! Not a single hostile ship encountered, I met so many new friendly folk, we had fun shooting ourselves up and down islands trying to nail that 1 perfect shot, we had fun solving the riddles themselves (but I suspect one of the developers might have had too much grog and missed his mark a bit...), the new gear is awesome and the Bilge Rat faction mechanics are a welcome addition to boot.
Sure, it sounds boring, but man, I had a blast today.
And since I had to do so much sitting, I even feel well rested!Gotta give RARE credit, they live up to their name. It's RARE I see an event so simplistic that it involves pirate+butt+chair, but hey, they aren't exactly working within a powerful player design here. People went crazy(In a good way) over the thought that a crab, not multiple, but a crab was added to the game.
@celestron90 aye that’s why when me sail with me brother (he’s a doctor) we always exclusively PVP! Much more exciting!
@monkeychow01 Eh, some people might need more than a day to do 'em all, so it's fair enough that it's staying around for a bit.
2 weeks really is stretching it, but come on mate, it's another free content drop, and it can be pretty fun.
It certainly doesn't detract from the main game, so no one loses.I did 'em all today, but I'd definitely be open to helping others complete them, or hell, just get my photography on, and snap some great pictures, 'cause no one can deny; You get to see some beautiful vistas from them fancy chairs.
Oh please don’t get my post wrong. I’m not salty about it. Yes free content :). Two weeks though is just a bit too long with this one, and I’m afraid it’s going to sour their PR again about “weekly events”. See my other post about it. If they reconsider turning on a parallel event next week but add time so folks can finish this one, then this event was perfectly fun and fine for a weekly content :)
@sahya If you talk to the Bilge Rat in the tavern, he does explain that the thrones are something he and the Bilge Rats threw together, hence their raggedy appearance.
@Monkeychow01 Ah fair enough mate! I get ya, and like I said 2 weeks really is stretching it. It would be awesome if they added just a pinch of spice next week to this event, but I wouldn't get my hopes up about it.
I'll just keep on grindin' my way to Legend, I'd quite like to reach it before Cursed Sails drops in a months time.@sahya No problem! But it's not like you were wrong to assume how they would look, the game could definitely use a good splash of more lore for us to engage in, and understand the world of Sea of Thieves better.
There's a little more to it than that, but yeah, it is also just find the chair. Remember, this is the same company that sold a bird & bear adventure, and even lampshaded how odd that was in the same game. Strange is nothing new.
The getting together with other crews though is nice to see, especially since it can even be two solo-sloopers instead of the required 5. But if somebody can't pull it off for whatever, they can still earn the cosmetics in that time with the solo part of the event. The bribes/gold are just extra for those able to forge temporary alliances.

And since I had to do so much sitting, I even feel well rested!It is dull bro... plz remove the fun you had from RP and the jokes with your friends on the ship just look at what took 2 days delay 10 chairs to shoot at nothing more bothing less /sit something is wrong with rare sry to say but i think they staryed to work on it on the patch weeks day and used those 2 days to put 10 chairs there. The fun you have with friends and jokes and conversations have bothing to do with rare you can have those in any online game or just skype or discord
