Yesterday while playing Sea of Thieves we had a lot of treasure but we were sank. I survived the attack and actually managed to kill the other people from the other ship, we were pretty close to a small island (Rapier Cay) so I grabbed as much treasure as I could and swam it to the island.
Skeletons started coming out of the sand and I was fending them off, hiding our best treasures in the bushes to hide the green glow of the skulls from passing ships.
My team spawned back near a new boat a decent ways away. They mounted for the rescue.
I was stayed on the island with our treasure waiting for my team, fighting off wave after wave of Skeleton.
Then... I was teleported back to the ship. No warning, no explanation, I didn’t talk to the mermaid.
I thought that was a bad decision because the whole idea of racing back to save your treasure and crew mate was exciting and fun. I understand there are limitations of the software and hardware but come on! This is something that should not happen.
I mean why even have the mermaid that teleports you back to your ship if it’s going to be done automatically?
