Hey, just got a quest today that must’ve been added after the 1.1.1 patch. The first part consisted of a riddle and a map (easy). Part two sent me to snake island. Once there, a second line on the riddle is revealed: “seek the endless lizard in Gunpowder Tunnels, do or die, it lies in wAit for a light held high.” Seems pretty obvious, right? I know the tunnels and where the wall painting is, I go there and hold up my lantern and nothing happens. Probably yet another bug, but I wanted to see if anyone else experienced this. V annoying.
New snake island quest glitch?
@murmaiderj Ahhhh the Gunpowder Tunnels are verrry awkward for where you have to be stood to activate them whether it be instrument, map or lantern...
This island has to be one of the worst for its required preciseness.

Yep, true fact. But the actual glitch has happened to me before, and we fixed it the same way we fix skelletons not spawning, all your crew dies and meets in the ferry, then all of youu spawn into the game together and try the quest spot again.
@musicmee 🙊 unbelievable. Just trying to decide how badly I want the treasure at this point or if I should just say f**k it. Loved the new expansion too, “run to 5 spots - total of 45 minutes of map hunting, if that - and then you can kill a giant shark. Done. Glad I payed 60$ for a game that has just three types of quests that you can do endlessly to level up and get only vanity items.
Sigh. Rant over. I do like the game, and I have faith a lot more will get added, but when there’s so little to do at the moment it’s hard to understand why they can’t get this to work out... that could turn someone with more of a life than me off to a game.
@carlosylu I’m just playing alone today, had a bad crew and wanted to chill. I let the skellys kill me but still no luck when I came back. I’m trying again though if they ever spawn.
@murmaiderj You can drawn to die, but I don't know if the glitch fix works with a solo sloop tough...
@carlosylu I’m also wondering if for some reason the type of Lantern you have matters? Not sure why it would but 🤷♂️
