Second time in a week I ran into a pc player. Not a big deal except he was [mod edited] and it's more than ridiculous when your fighting and they just keep [mod edited] jumping and hitting me with there sword when I don't have the ability to spam a and aim with my right stick at the same damn time but he can spam his space bar and flick his mouse all day why is this a thing either fix it so you can't jump and swing at the same time or give them their own servers it's killing this game for me

I have seen streamers playing on Xbox jump around and dominate in PvP.
You are basically asking Rare to kill this game on PC. Perhaps if this game was on steam for $30 more PC players would join.
The vast majority (about 81%) of players in this game are on Xbox.
You win some and you lose some that is just the way it is. You lost got mad and now feel entitled to ask Rare to destroy the game for the 19% of PC players.
You probably got beat by a better Xbox player but you refuse to admit it.

Rebind jump to a different button and you can jump aim and attack at the same time
Rare do have to do something to level it out across the board. We had a dude get on board our ship from the water without using the ladders. Was using sword lunge way to fast without a reset or rest after it was done. Somehow sponged 4 close range head shots from me and a crew mate and kept going! How is the possible? The whole mods thing has to stop IF they are being used.
@esko6ar if he blocked while making the sword lunge he can move faster...this is a thing I always use
@anarchyguy11111 hi. There is an entire megathread for crossplay. Please post your concerns in that thread so we can assist Rare with alternatives to crossplay.
The problem here is not crossplay the problem is the excessive jumping. Yes you can remap the jump button to a bumper key and then just start jumping too but the issue remains: everyone is jumping like crazy and it looks ridiculous.
Rare should just add a delay after every jump like when doing the sword lunge but ofc not that long of a delay.
@anarchyguy11111 As Rob said, you have the ability to rebind your jump button to whatever button you wish. You also have the options of purchasing a different controller such as an Elite or Scuf controller which have paddles you can map to whatever buttons you want. I would highly recommend getting one, not only for this game, but for all games in general. Well worth the investment if you enjoy playing daily.
@PersonalC0ffee He is referring to the XIM, a 3rd party piece of hardware which allows someone to use a keyboard and mouse on the xbox. He also mentions "scufs" which are controllers / accessories that give you paddles that can be remapped with the various buttons. Same with the Elite Controller.
No, it's not CSGO or CoD, because when you die on those games you have lost nothing but pride and can redeem yourself within minutes.
On SOT however, you may have lost hours of play because the game is unequal at its core. That's much worse.
My advice is to look at things a little more objectively (like you did the the turning post) and not simply choose the most simplistic and overused arguments.
Also, on the XIM. Apparently they can be detected. Some developers have said they would look at banning them as they make the game unbalanced. The reason MS does not support a KB+M natively.
Strange that MS didn't take that POV when they decided to release a non-steam game.......Xbox One has macros too, it's called "CronusMAX PLUS" and you plug it inbetween the Xbox and the controller.
Basically Xbox has everything but a higher turn speed, hence turn speed needs to be increased on Xbox. And constant jumping is annoying both to Xbox and PC players alike so jumping needs to be nerfed in some way.@personalc0ffee well not you but [mod edited] as he is using 3rd party piece to enhance his preformance
It’s not a small part of the community. If we were given this option, I would almost bet 90% of Xbox players would choose not to play against pc players. The other 10% being the complete know nothing’s who don’t even know what crossplay is. PC players have huge advantages in this game & everyone (Xbox) is tired of fighting with a disadvantage. The only people this would hurt is PC players who want to retain their unfair advantages. Before some nim wit comes & says; you have no way of knowing what platform they are on, yes I actually can tell by their movements alone. When a pc player is running around my ship like Usain bolt, I ask are you a pc player & they always confirm they are & laugh about their unfair advantage & how fun it is to kill xbox kids. As for the community dwindling @PersonalC0ffee that is your opinion only. Xbox players might even see a increase in players once the battlefield becomes more level.

As I said in another post before...if they would make it, that the reload anination breaks up when jumping it would solve the problem

So your logic then all 3rd party accessories are a cheating device? All scuf users, kontrol freeks etc? Everyone should use stock controllers. That's awesome.

I'm not for or against crossplay tbh but want to quickly tell my experiences from the last couple of days.
Firstly I'm an old school pc player from back when it all started but now play Xbox, just fits my lifestyle better (family and all that). I consider myself an above average player on console and pc but that's just my opinion lol.
I've been helping out crews with the hungering deep lately and twice now I've found myself with a crew of pc players. Both of these times we've had a right crack doing it and were successful BUT on both these occasions I've had to endure p**s taking and laughing at how my pirate moves and fights, especially hearing them all laugh at how I turn (My sensitivity is almost maxed btw). Both crews have told me that they "eat Xbox players for breakfast".
Why, if it is so noticeable, do the current pc community insist that the difference is negligable?

Custom controllers have no place in a competitive environment, frankly. And yes, I look at such things as cheating.
Unauthorized hardware and software pretty much covers anything that they say it does.
I know certain Rare's said use of macros is not allowed in one of their videos.
macros are software. yea that is cheating I agree. But modded controllers like scufs? Thats all thats used in competitive gaming.

ive used it for years on cod, bf. Bf needed extra care as they changed up their aim mechanics. But worked really well when set up correctly. SOT is a bit different. The slow turn speed on box messes with it a bit.
