@ecljpse sagte in Chest Of Sorrow Is Worth Less Than A Golden Chicken*?:
Let us compare:
Golden Chicken -
Can be killed (explosive barrel, cannon fire, drowning, reckless crew mates, enemies)
Needs to be turned in on a time limit
Needs to be turned in at a specific outpost
Chest of Sorrow -
Occasionally cries filling your ship with water.
Pretty much wrong...the trick in SoT is time managment. Chickens dont do anything...never has one been killed unless someone of my crew made a mistake. They dont even get stolen due to way lower payout if your not doing the specific MA voyage.
A chest of sorrow on the other hand takes 1 player out of your crew's time managment. You either put him on the ladder with it (still works) or you let him keep your ship dry. Having 1 player less in your crew can be a death sentence in the wrong moment.
If you have chickens on board, you can continue your voyage...if you have a chest of sorrow you will want to head to the next outpost = time consuming.
But then..chickens are not the fun...have you ever boarded a sloop with a chest of sorrow and droped it on their ship after killing them? Sinking ships without punching holes - awesome. If you have one onboard and are being pursued...just drop it, the enemy team will pick it up (they cant resist) and then you start the fight with them and see them get stressed by the screwed time managment. After the fight, you simply collect the chest again.
