  • @fgfoot Yeah. Don't do them without a 4 person galleon.

  • Do them with a pirate legend so u can do lvl 50 OoS gives mostly villanious or hateful skulls, also skullforts help the stronghold skull really bumps up ur lvls fast

First of all, it is always going to be easier done as 4 people. So that is my first suggestion.

If like me you are persistent in the idea of doing it solo/duo, here are my tips:

    • Stock up - visit a fort and get lots of bananas and cannonballs, also grab a few gunpowder kegs
    • Avoid large islands - Devils ridge is a particular pain of mine, I tend to avoid it if possible.
    • Favour smaller islands - especially ones where you can use the cannon on the shore.
    • Learn to lunge - holding block before a lunge gives extra mobility
    • Body block gun shots - if you position your enemy with the sword so that they are between you and a pistol, often you can avoid the damage.
    • Be patient - sometimes it's better to wait until sunrise, or lure golden skeletons to the shore than to struggle on.
    • If all else fails - gunpowder keg them all to the depths.

    Hope that helps.

It's not so much an issue of large/small islands per se, but more of a "cannon accessibility" issue. Mainly, you want to avoid islands where the bounty skeletons regularly spawn where cannons can't reach. Devil's Ridge is a perfect example, as the skellies usually spawn inside the cave.

But it's worth it to go out of your way to scout out the bigger islands, just in case any of the bounties happen to spawn on/near the beach.

The only other tip I would add is: Keep moving so as not to get cornered or flanked

  • If you are grinding you def want to avoid large islands. Sometimes it takes a long time to find where those guys are ex. Old Faithful Isle. I wouldn't go there especially if it's only one skull. I normally always do a complete circle around the island too. Sometimes it saves time in finding where the skellys are hiding.

100% agree with this. Fiance and I usually only can play together. One stays on canons and the other draws the ghosts if possible. I'd also add that have a treasure mission on hand as well for when you get low on bananas so when you go to islands to stock up, you at least get something out of it.

  • Download the Discord app to your phone, join the Sea of Thieves community discord, go to the looking for crew channel, type the code word "Looking for crew for OoS cheese", wait until people respond and do exactly what they say and boom you're level 50 in no time.

  • @fgfoot Basically what the first guy said. Don't try to do them alone once you reach 40+ it becomes a looooooooooooong process that can be cut down to a quarter of the time just by playing with others.
