So, tattoo/scar customization is coming. What are you planning on changing?

    Now that we can change this stuff I plan on adding scars and tattoos to my pirate as she is seriously lacking, what about you guys? Adding/taking away anything?

    Eh, I'll wait and see the designs. Apparently my pirate has an anchor tattoo on the back side of his neck, I might keep that.

    Will definitely look into getting my crew matching tattoos though.

    Mine only has one on his neck. Dude had a shirt on when I picked him. Not nearly enough tats for my taste. So pretty much, anything.

    mine has a glass eye...so i would like a bear scratch to show off the glass eye better, and some hand tattoos since i dont like wear gloves, but i do like the hand wraps... and a chest/stomach tattoo because i would like to not wear a shirt, but because there was no tattoo...i started wearing the sovereign shirt with the sea dog jacket

    I got some cool tattoos already but I am so happy they are adding this. I will get more tattoos and plan to smoke more than drink if they add that to the game too.

    I have a pretty sweet scar on my face. The scar is over my right eye but I don’t have any on my back or chest. So hopefully we get some hideous looking scars. Lol Plus some more tatts would be nice.

    My guy has a skull and crossbones on his right bicep i intend on keeping and a small club suit symbol on his back below his shoulder blade that i plan on removing. From what I wear I plan on giving him something on his chest. When it comes to scarring there's alot I have in mind, but we'll have to wait to see what i can do.

    It depends on whether it overwrites whatever the IPG put there in the first place. Ie my pirate has a light beard that can't be removed because it's just part of their face texture, so if scars and tattoos work the same way I'll be kinda disappointed.

    I want some face tattoos and something on my pirates front torso. Just so when I do decide to do a voyage or too shirtless I look more the part.

    Definitely going to add that pioneer emblem tattoo visible on their stomachs. Hopefully put in in a different location, like on one side of the chest or back.

    A funny observation last night while discussing this topic with a crew - we’ve all spent our hard earned gold on lots of wonderful outfits, only to strip bare next week to don our new scars and tattoos!

    From the few pictures provided by Rare, I’m a fan of the pioneer-themed tattoo, it’s a compass design just like the badge here in the forums... I will mark my flesh and wear it with pride!

    Mine has this awful butterfly looking thing in the small of his back that he woke up with after a grog binge in his mid 20's. He also woke up with syphilis, but it turns out that's not nearly as embarassing as the tramp stamp...

    Well mine already have two scars: one under his chest and one under his neck. I think I'll keep them both but he will soon have a body full of tattoos 👀 I hope we would be able!

    I have a little love heart under the left arm, and a tramp stamp. Alongside a terrible snake shoulder tattoo. I'm tempted to keep them as I like to imagine they were a result of a night with the crew and too much grog.

    Going to have to see what tattoos are available and how they're implemented. (i.e. choose for each body part, just head and body, etc.)

    But definitely going to need some finger scars. I'm a sucker for finger scars.

    Gonna put my characters scar across their right eye onto their left and remove the original if i can. Then im gonna give them a whited out/blinded left eye. (praying thats added and considered a scar) Im then gonna replace tattoos i have with cooler looking ones i really like or add new ones i really like.

    Has it been confirmed we can choose the scar and tat locations? I hope so but honestly I wouldn't be surprised if these were pre selected locations and override previous tats/scars on selected body regions.

    I have a small compass tattoo on my wrist which I love so hopefully it won't be exiled by these new cosmetics.

    You know, I haven't noticed it talked about yet. What happens to the scars and tattoos we already have? Do we lose them tomorrow? Do they become part of our vanity chest? Hoping we don't lose them, but they haven't talked much about this yet.

    Every alpha character I picked and honestly more often than not the ones I had before that, had a very Viking/Celtic looking back tattoo, I plan on getting that back if possible.
