Loot value variations

  • One thing that is really confusing me is the big variations in loot value.

Has Rare clarified the reason behind it or what causes such value variations?

For Example. Last night I hand in a Merchant voyage for 2 golden chickens. First Golden Chicken sells for 1000g and the 2nd Golden Chicken sells for 1700g.

Same goes for Chests and Skulls.

Some clarification on this would be handy.

  • They've not really clarified but it's cause everything in the game has RNG embedded into it. It's dumb and poor game design. Your rewards should be static, XP is static, so should gold gains.

Now if they want to implement chests that have an RNG chance of dropping rare cosmetics directly, I think that'd be a fun and fair distribution like the Chest of Legends was said to work a month before release.

But your gains should stay consistent.

  • @eatdamuffin Yeh I agree.

It is quite a silly way of doing it. Like One day the Fort chest sold for 3.8k then the next day it sells for 2.5k.

Its a bizarre way of working

  • Supply and demand? They are the merchants they care not for our wants and rules.
