To Anyone Who Had The FPS/Vsync Issue Since 1.0.4...

    ... please download the 1.0.8 patch and report back, if you can.

    The patch appears to have solved my Vsync problems and, in a short test, I was able to get a solid 60FPS while running around an island with a lot of vegetation.

    I was also able to put my settings back up to Legendary and it was still perfect. Early signs are very promising at least.

    I'm just interested if this update has fixed it for anyone else?

    Also, I think it's important to keep the devs updated on whether problems are sorted or not.

    If you have an Nvidia card I can only recommend setting Vsync to off in Sea of Thieves' menu and then in the Nvidia control panel set v-sync to "Fast".

    I do have an Nvidia card (Asus Dual GTX1060 6GB) but I don't see that option in the control panel? It's fixed in the game so I'm happy enough with that.

    I think you're right, just changed back to Vsync and the problems I had before are gone now.🙂

    Game still runs like garbage when close to/on islands with me. 1.08 didn't do much, if anything it made it worse.

    Performance is worse for me as well. GTX 1080 Max-Q on Mythical and I barely clear 60fps at outposts and dip into the 30’s when I look at certain areas of an island.

    Interestingly, Im starting to see a pattern where FPS drops occur alongside lowered GPU utilization. I may get 30fps at 50-70% utilization, but after some time it will kick back up to 99% utilization and bring me back to 60fps.

    I haven’t changed my drivers or Windows updates so this performance degradation has something to do with their patch.

    Yes I have had the exact same thing happen today on Crooks Hollow. ~50% GPU and ~50% CPU utilization but only 30FPS. Something is still broken with Vsync. 😢

    I have a g sync monitor and a 1080ti. I have played with my setting myself and I'm noticing screen tearing occasionally. This is the only game this happens on is this due to the buggy update ?
