Snakes as 'Ye Olde Sentries'?

  • Hi all,

I haven't yet had time to test the practicality of this, but I was wondering:

Do you reckon that placing your snake baskets on the planks could act as a sentry against boarders?

I mean, of course, you'd have to do your fair share of dodging, but I get the feeling that if set up right, you might not have to watch the ladders anymore.

I suppose this is more of a suggestion for a fun tactic aboard Merchant Ships than a real idea. Because, and I should stress this, I have no idea how practical or effective this would be!

  • I put snakes all over my boat including planks, capt cabin, behind the bottom corners of stairs, and in the crows nest 😂 just gotta remember that theyre there (which wasnt easy at first 🤣)

  • Piles of treasure - guarded by snakes.

I've rarely, but I've done it usually when solo, stacked my treasure in one or two places - underneath each mound - a few snakes. It's a nice barrier against thieves.

I've yet to do it actively but placing them at the foot of the stairs by the banana barrel on galleons to prevent boarders from using my bananas against me as well. All the safety required is knowing to play music as you go below deck.

Im not talking one or two snakes either... 5-10 to assure the many spit sprays kill these insolent curs!

  • Try this fun thing I've been doing is I put 2-10 snakes in Crow's nest and put barrels on sails so let's suppose someone runs up nest and trys to grab barrels they get poisoned now jumping on sails will be difficult so if they fall instant death from poison plus fall. I've been doing this since first week.
