A few days ago I found a message in a bottle on every isle. since the update has come I did not found any more messages. Did they fix something? Are they still there or are they taken away from the game?
Message in a bottle gone away?
@pfeffernieser rare tweeted the other day that they removed washed ashore loot and items for the time being. Not sure what eta they will be back either.
@awesomecoreusa glad to hear. I noted and understood the lack of washed ashore items. I sailed for hours till I ran into the post either on Facebook or here...then turned to a few actual quest voyages. I also felt there was a distinct lack of shipwrecks...initially then they started turning back up. Side note...I did still find quiet a few chests on islands while exploring. Washed ashore items and shipwrecks are still a game favorite with me. Looking forward to their full return.
@greenwarfare423 I found 4 in the same play session last night an' I ne'er went to Shores o' Plenty. Just luck I guess.

Yep I saw this as well. Hopefully these washed up items and bottles return soon!

Shipwrecks are still everywhere. But the loot on them seems to have been diminished. I remember at launch it was pretty normal to find 2-3 items per wreck, even found a few with 4-5 pieces. Now days it seems like you're lucky to find something with 2 pieces.
I suspect this has something to do with people knowing they are there and looting them, now. It seems that after the servers are down and come back, sunken ship loot is pretty abundant. I also noticed in the earlier days, first most ships had a lot of loot. Hell, my first one post-launch I found 7 items in. Then it gradually changed to where the obvious ones had loot, but the deep ones did not. Now it seems they all get looted regularly.
Perhaps it's coincidence, but it seems like it correlates to players being more experienced and knowing how to spot them as opposed to most people still learning how to sail without crashing into stuff.
