removing cosmetics? Please RARE don't!!!! Visual example!

    Please don't take out the figure heads, the swords are understandable. The Tang/hilt of the sword being the only color variation and it being covered by your hand makes total sense but even then they should just be discounted.

    The Ship heads however!? Please leave this alone. I was sailing with some friends and we were discussing this and trying out combos. The image below is just one example of why you shouldn't remove them. It shows that even though its a color variation how well it can go with a different set. Notice the Teal that comes with this soon to be removed ship head. This combo also works with the Legendary ship just as well.

    I love the Bilge rat stuff and even though just the fins are different I would still like all of them. I will never get the almost 400k gold needed before you remove these

    I agree with you, but I also agree with what Rare stated, they aren't visually distinct enough.
    I'm fine with collour swaps but it has to be as good as the scurvy bilge rat set, which slightly changes the pallet of the clothing pieces, making it look like an unique model. For figureheads I think that just a collorswap isn't enough, it needs more visual distinction, and rare can deliver it eventually, just don't let them get away with lazy collourswaps.

    I think it is silly to remove them as they don't really effect anything...UNLESS...they plan on implementing some form of dye system down the road in which case it would make sense to not have too many cosmetic color swaps floating around. I have a feeling a lot of this starting batch of cosmetics will become limited editions to those that own them as they work and rework towards developing how specifically they want to tackle cosmetics as a system.

    I imagine coming up with cosmetic designs is the easy part, figuring out how to tie them all together into a usable system formula is another.

    yes 6 items that werejust reskins. Can't remember what exactly but it was figureheads and swords only. Believe it was bilgerat ones.

    i totally agree with this, they arent different enough. like the bandana on the skull is slightly different or the lions eyes are different its stupid. They should be totally different things. I am for this. Idk about the swords I only have the black dog one so idk how necessary it was but im always up for new skins.

    Just keep them and let people choose. You don't have to own every single item.
    Also, stuff like the new sea dog figurehead or the grand admiral sword are different enough.

    By doing this, they will break the new ship and weapon sets that they have just added, good job.

    I want MORE color swaps, but seeing how they are so easy to make I don't want them to count as "added content". I would LOVE some sort of color wheel options for pieces.

    I just do not like any of the ship customizations. I haven't bought a single one because they all look like garbage to me.

    So, are they just removing the stuff that looks like duplicates, or are they removing ALL figureheads? I am still saving for my first (been buying too many swords and pistols. Lol).

    @xberserxx the basic figureheads are still going to be in the game, just the duplicated indistiguishable ones that are leaving.

    @ve111a if they readd them....why can people then keep the old versions? for the dying system that will come maybe?
    If they remove the items, they should REMOVE them...not make them limited :D
    I think it is sad that Rare reacted to the criticism in such a way...make the next ones better and more unique..but removing/limiting them is just awful :'(

    Then they need to do more work and refund purchases and deal with the complaints from that. People complained about the skins and they reacted.
