Getting kicked out of the game after the patch... "almondbeard"

Just got kicked 2 hours into a Legendary voyage (4th time in a week). Thats me for today. I understand that losing your progress is a thing that happens in this game , if its not pirates its definitely the game or the server. Flying NPCs, Almondbeard. Thanks Rare for creating a true "time waster" in so many senses of the word.

There are numerous threads requesting or discussing the option to have a resume function - So to offer a suggestion and make this as constructive as I can... Rare please read your annoyed but in love with the game players comments on the issue.

I wonder if you consider the fact that you have not addressed game resumption and at the same time are fully aware of server disconnections and server issues.

I love the game... when it works and lets me finish my voyage. Rather than tip 2 hours down the drain at a time...

Yeah it just happend to me. Suddenly couldn't move, my ship started sinking and I got kicked out of the game, with this error.

I'm on PC and my connection is fine (using cable).

I rarely get dc'd (twice?) and I have put a lot of hours in to the game. Today it dc'd me twice. First time my sloop partner was able to reconnect in game so we didn't lose our stuff but the 2nd time it booted us from the game.

I'm hoping the most recent server maintenance fixed that.

the same thing has happened 4x to me now, there i was sailing along in a sloop with a m8 about three quarters of the way through a athena quest boat laden with loot, next thing it turns into a submarine and we both get the almondbeard message.
The first 2x where shortly after the patch went live.. but the last 2 have happened 2 hours since they brought the servers down to fix the crashes.

Yup its broken, Solo sloop, ship sunk with loot aboard and the server giving me the boot!

Hard to play/stream and grind! After a few attempts I give up for today.

Perhaps another patch or roll back is in order!

Fort takes a mere 10 minutes to complete with 2 people....

Well i meant the prep time, beatin the fort, and had to deal with a sloop. And just as i go to open the door. Almond Beard with a backstab

Right there with you. Just lost about 10k worth of loot. It’s one thing to have it stolen, but inexcusable to lose it due to lousy servers. W*f are you going to do to compensate the thousands of hours of player time you have wasted with your unstable update??? The answer better not be apologize.

After the 2nd maintenance (2 of 3 today) I did not dc, so maybe it's fixed? Not sure what 3rd maintenance is about.

Kicked 3 times in one hour and now the servers are closed I hope they fix this quickly....

(Almondbeard) dc here too twice on American servers. As I got on ship ladder the first time and second dc was right before server shutdown (5 min before). Lost loot but I should have taken the hint the first time it crashed today that patch was screwy.

Same, I been kicked a few times since the update.

Its because rare cant get their s**t together once again. They set deadlines and miss them the game is basically beta for 60 dollars.

Started playing on a sloop just before midnight and kicked, when returning lost the locked/open crew options. Playied again until 2.30am UK again kicked... lost 2 and a half hours of chests and resources! Nearly 5 hours gameplay and lost everything. Not impressed!!!!

It seems that post roll back that the "almondbread" is still happening a lot.

I also noticed that one of the threads about this was closed, with people being told they need to put in a support ticket instead of talking about it on the forum as "It gets the details to the devs quicker and feedback can be lost in the forum discussions".
