-The Perilous blunders at Shark Fin Camp

This is not a tale of great triumph. This is a tale of how my own foolishness cost us a fortune and the blunder that got us paid.

This story starts at Shark Fin Camp. We came in to the fort first. Put in a couple of waves watching the seas to make sure we got done uninterrupted. Unfortunately that did not last long as a galleon quickly moved in on us.

We returned to the ship and dropped sails post haste and proceeded to fight the ship. It had a legend on board and was full of a vile crew throwing salt and harsh words. After about ten maybe 15 minutes in this fight a brave little sloop enters the fray.

Firing on both sides it was putting in work on both of us. It sank once, It came back, It sank twice, It came back. After it sank the second time we noticed on of its crew members was hiding in a cannon tower. And our captain, Capt Ironlung had a chat with him. Seemingly nice fellow. Our captain did not like his partner though. (he had a very colorful name for the gentleman.) They had teamed up via matchmaking and seemed a bit mismatched.

Fortunately though we managed to convince them to help us focus on the other galleon because they were being quite unpleasant. After that the plan was to finish the for together and send the key off into the shroud.

Things were going well. We teamed up and were knocking out the fort fast before the galleon could get back.

Then it happened, My failure. The blunder to end all blunders. While we were fighting the captain I accidently swing my sword into a gunpowder barrel managing to only kill my entire crew… Thankfully they were my friends so I was not brigged for my failure.

We get back. They are hauling a*s away. Unsurprisingly not towards the shroud but to an outpost. We skirt past the fort and I try to fire myself at it to make sure they opened the door, but the cannon glitched as it does and fired me a hard 45 degrees way from my intended target. I use my spyglass to see if the door is open while I’m in the air and the door looks closed. So I inform my crew they must still have the key.

The chase is long. They take us threw a storm and we hit ground once or twice thanks to coral. Eventually they hit sanctuary outpost and run with a chest and skull. (My failure there was not going to the fort and checking up close. Apparently the door renders as closed from a distance.)

We get to the island and kill the guy we hated and spoke with the nice gentlemen from the canon tower. He tells us the other guy left and that the messed up and only grabbed the skull fort chest and what they thought was the skull fort skull, Turned out to only be a hateful bounty skulls.

So with the good news we force him onto our ship and promise to give him something if he comes back with us. (our plan was to keep him away from his buddy if he was lying and his buddy was on his way back to the fort.)

We get back. No buddy and no problems getting everything else from the fort. While our new friend is carrying the last item to the ship Captain decides to pay back his betrayal pirate style and shoot him in the back. Ending this tale.

The crew of the Cursed Clover always gets paid.

PS. It’s not about making money it’s about making a story.
