Remove the shiny glimpse from the spyglass! Just the sniper spark is enough.

  • It would be nice to remove the shiny spark when you use your spyglass. It gives away your stealth position to your opponent. Just leave it for the sniper as it is.

This way you can spy people without giving up your presence. Sometimes you don't want to be spotted but still see what your opponent is doing especionaly if you want to avoid pvp. Witch in most cases is different when you scope with the sniper then you probely want to snipe him. So with the sniper the shiny spark is just fine as it is. But remove the spark from the spyglass.

  • I think this is more of a issue with consistency. To take away the glint for your spyglass, you might as well remove the glint from the weapon. What makes the fictional glass function differently from fictional gun scope to fictional spy glass? Not meaning to disagree, but there is always some symbolism from reality to make believe, or there will be more people complaining about nonsense. Also people responding to nonsense. I ramble.... Happy Pirating!

  • @sirsn34kyfox I know what you mean. But I am ready to let the reality factor fall for the sheer fun it gives to me. It always gives me a good feeling (sneaky) when I can spy someone without beeing spotted. Especially to avoid a confrontation.

  • I think what would be better is that, instead of completely getting rid of it, the glare should only be shown if you're facing the sun. Same would apply for the sniper. But other than that, I don't think it should change. Me and the crew were testing the mechanics of it and it's not bad. You have to be really close, with in the square on the map, to see the glare, otherwise it doesn't show. Tbh at that distance, you don't really need the spyglass to see if the ship is coming to ambush it.
