The compass at sea should always be in good form. But ours was weather worn and only showed the norm.

I was hoping weather worn and only showed the norm (N,S,E,W) would be a big clue.

Still working on them:

1. The first place is dead and so it must be treated. Ye aught not count a dead thing or I be heated.

2. The Spanish dollar has many a name, but for a pirate as me it has only one name. The pieces I count are known as just these.
