what are these cheats ??

  • I spent 2 hours performing a legendary mission, and when the chest was on a sloop, we had a man on the ship from somewhere, not even close to any ships. he simply appeared, killed us, took the legendary chest and disappeared.
Nebylo any ships nearby, he just evaporated, and just teleported to us on the sloop.
    this is normal???

Ok, I can't remark on the ease of performing this task against a sloop.

But just a bit ago I spent about an hour or so meddling with a galleon and stealing their loot right from under them as a stowaway.

I even have a video where the newly recycled crew thinks I am just one of their team mates talking to them for perhaps 15 minutes, and it shows how I revealed myself but avoided them reading my name when I ran down to repair though one almost noticed me but opened his map so he must have been in the radial menu when I stopped in front of him. I was only discovered when the Kraken appeared.

So, though this anecdotally sounds like cheating, which is really could be, I don't see any reason to rule out obliviousness.

  • I am not even sure, that these are cheats. You probably are just to unconcerned on sea. I experience it myself pretty often (because I am doing stuff like this). I swim sometimes large distances (largest the distance of 2 isles in one go) to reach a destination. Doing this allows me to have the effect of surprise on my side. Like this I can board a ship, kill the people, steal stuff or just stay in hiding. Even on a sloop are possible ways to hide yourself effectivley. Maybe he just did this, killed you, stole the chest and swam to the nearest isle? I would have done either this or wait till the outpost and kill you then and sell the treasure.

Often it is just the missing of attention and knowledge, not always has the devil his hands in the game.

  • it was in the open sea, we were two on a sloop, we had no one on the ship, and there were no ships nearby, he could not get over to us from another ship, because they were not there, or was it an invisible ship?

very sad what is real, you spend time to get something, and someone just uses the cheat.

and how to give a report to this person? how to find out his nickname? how to give him a report? if I have only discovered the beginning of his nickname

maybe I'll repeat it but it was in the sea, no one was around, it would just be eaten by sharks if he sailed without a ship in the open sea

  • @fragoed
A cheat like that probably doesnt even exist.

Most likely scenario is that he was a stowaway, boarding your ship at an outpost or an island while you didn't pay attention. I've done it myself, it's quite easy most of the time. I've sailed across almost the entire map holding on to the ladder of another ship, and I've once spent an hour in the crows nest of an enemy galleon who were completely oblivious to my presence.
Another likely scenario is that you simply didn't see his ship because it was parked behind an island, or he scuttled it after cannoning himself towards you.

  • A quick google search and you will fimd that yes in fact such hacks exist...
They can get ESP that shows them the location of every item in the world and do what you described. Lot of deniers still for some reason. Its mostly pc hacking and is an unfortunate side effect of crossplay. Brace yourself for all the ppl telling me im wrong. It's not as prevalent as people make it sound but it is going on. Sucks it happened to you. Submit a bug report with as much info as you can so rare can look into it

  • @shuoink
TL:DR - hacks exist for SoT but its not as extensive as people say. No invincible, no teleport and no kraken summoning.

ESP, Aimbot, and i think i saw a radar type thing on youtube. can't think of much else.

There are NOT hacks for "teleporting" or invincibility. Unless someone has admin privileges and access to the actual sea of thieves servers they can not do anything outside of manipulate client side information. EDIT: This doesn't include in-game bugs. Bugs are not hacks but are exploits used for player advantage.

Example: The game tells u when a chest is on an island, it physically loads in. You may not see it because its on the other side of it but that information is sent to your client/game. The current hacks use that information and make it into an overlay. Thats at least how ESP works. I'm unsure about its range and it could very well be across the map vision but normally its only information that has loaded for the player.

As for aimbot and the other features mentioned i don't have a clue about how it makes it work, so do your own homework.

    They can get ESP .....

    Show me.

I find nothing related to teleports, invisibility, controlled spawning, or anything.

I find what's been posted above.. ESP, etc.

And Hacks "like this" from the OP aren't ESP.

Hacks exist. They do - even if I can't find the obvious access points.

But simply because someone is oblivious to someone potentially boarding or can't explain how they might have been tricked.. doesn't mean it's hacking.

  • Yeah the only thing that exists is the ITEMS being viewed through walls or from a distance. It's not even the ENTIRE map it has to be in some sort of range.

But yeah no teleport hack , no invis ship hack , no invis pirate hack lol.

  • my friend had a teleportation incident there are people doing it somehow.

  • I had three players appear on our ship while on the open seas and kill my entire crew and there were no ships nearby, they were not hiding they just appeared on the main deck.

We returned from the ferry and ganged up on one of them and managed to kill him with multiple blunderbuss shots and sword swipes, less than a minute later he re-spawned on our ship.

I cannot see how this can be possible without some form of cheat.

I know people who will swim from three islands over to see if you have loot and their ship will be gone by the time they get there.

  • @mintprizma I have done that on numerous occasions lol I have also had a person hide around a shipwreck while their crew "sails away" He was easily dispatched, but, caught us by surprise since it had been 15 minutes since they had even been near it

  • @Fun-Director lol! See I'm the one who turns around and goes... where the hell did my crew go? My sailing mate joked to the others on our galleon crew last night "When we're on a sloop she should just assume she's sailing solo"

    = P

We've done the sail away thing too.

I have had this happen to me. At a fort, galleon came and sunk our ship but when I re-spawned I was on the galleon instead of the island where our new boat was.
