2.42GB update (X1X) patch notes? Hungering deep? Weekly events?
Don’t go in expecting hungering deep... it’ll be nice if we see a few new cosmetics though like what was teased last week.
Hoping for Xbox text chat and the bug that doesn’t let me hear my crews instrument to be fixed. Fingers crossed.
2.4gb is the biggest patch to date I believe? Makes me believe something has been added. Conquistador armour 😍

I've just finished this download and was looking for patch notes, none to be found right now until maintenance ends I guess.
I wouldn't be amazed if it shows up, anymore than if it does not.
I've long been a cynical voice in the face of Game Development companies, even quality driven and aged organizations such as Rare. I'm the guy who will always remark with disdain on the notion that companies tend to use 'soft dates', and 'inconclusive date ranges', etc for content releases. Because we should all know if anything compromises that promise gamers flip the heck out!
I also tend to feel it's common that in any given date range, it's the later end of that rage players should expect the content. So in our case "May" will mean the last second of the last day of that month.
It's cynical and judgmental but I stick to it.
Here's the kicker, and the point to my post:
What if... it's a pre-load of the content which is date locked! l**o. Sorry... just being a t**d. But yes, even I am watching for news before I go to bed. I'd loathe if it released and I was asleep!
@foereaper-6000 Careful, you might just get a 200k shirt that is slightly less brown and bigger nerfs to loot payouts.

biggest patch wwas the day 4 patch, which made everyone redownload the entire game
which if you play on Xbox One X was 22 GB
@splatulated technically yes but it was only that size because they made us redownload the entire game so we didn’t have to wait any longer for Rare to fit the patch in a small file size.
That's not that massive a difference in size to previous patch sizes, only about a gig more.
Whilst the DLC this time round doesn't mention any new regions, I would expect there to be a little more in terms of potential landmasses, reward items and possibly even (hopefully) more mob models and textures. My money would be (and I hope I'm wrong) that this is simply a new round of cosmetics as teased last week - would be daft for Rare to tease one cosmetic and that's the only one dropped - i'm hoping i can spend some loot tonight on new gear!
@splatulated 2.4 gigs has got to be more than just 1 set of new cosmetics though. Probably best for everyone to remain realistic in their expectations however.
I'm not expecting to see much more than a lot of tweaks/fixes and maybe that set (which everybody on the entire Sea of Thieves will probably be wearing for the next few days)

Chances are they're adding some of the DLC early so the download wont be so heavy when it actually releases
yea, was thinking the same

still the stupidest decision ever,,,
we could have * waited another week for them to make the patch a reasonable size
not everyone has unlimited data plans
@splatulated Surely whether it's a Gig per week over 4 weeks, or a single, 4 gig download, it still equates to the same amount of data being used?
Every new patch has had something new added, or needing to be downloaded - rejigged models last week and this for the ships, new texture files for the cosmetics in the last 3.
That can't be changed - all new stuff to be added to the game's library, so it would have to be downloaded in one chunk or later. They are trying to please everyone, but sadly seem to please noone.

im talking about when they forced everyone to re download the entire game so they could implement something that should have been a 3mb download not 22 gbs
