Yesterday night, after playing for 2 hours and not gaining ANYTHING. (No treasures, lost a fort, no levels.) Me and 2 friends(Who I will refer to as Knuckle and Anubis.) decided to do the only thing a pirate should do after a fail like that...
We played Hide and Seek. (There is this nice little setting which allows you to turn off the HuD)
Anubis had done this before, and so we decided to start easy. 2 of us would hide in the ship, the other would search for us. And it was good fun. I failed at hiding. One time Knuckle simply hid near some barrels, and even after walking past those barrels, even looking in their direction, Anubis still didn't see it. We all laughed very much.
But the ship was too easy for us professional pirates, and we decided to take the game to an island! And island that turned out way too big and it was impossible to find people!
So after this fail, we went to a smaller island. An island where we were assaulted by skeletons, and we had to move again! What shame.
At last, we decide to play this game at an outpost. "Galleon Grave!" I shouted, for that was a nice outpost which wasn't too big. And here the real fun started.
Behind the lady of the OoS, in the plants outside but with the face hidden in a rock, under a bridge, even on rooftops! We spent hours finding the best hiding places. Such good ones, we even had to help the finders find us!
After a while, we see a huge skeleton cloud appearing at the sky. But who'd have time for that! We were still in the middle of a Hide and Seek match!
However, when the match was over, we decided to test our luck. Even though we had used all of our resources(A random shot all our cannons, and we ate many bananas during Hide and Seek) we still went there.
And the place was empty(Except for some undead running around.). So we clear wave after wave, and defeat the captain. As we open the fort, we laugh and talk about how this tale is great! And how it would be even funnier if the Kraken would appear and take us down. While we load in our new treasure, suddenly a Galleon is almost in cannon range! We leave some things on the beach, and we dart away! Our plan was to do a dropoff, but first someone boarded us and we were able to kill them. However, the 3 of us had no health and no bananas...
We are in front of the galleon, everything is going fine. Untill suddenly, boom, I die. I shout and shout "Boarder boarder!!!" but alas, my 2 friends join me in the Ferry of the Damned and our ship and loot is all lost!
But we are not finished yet. I still spawned at our ships old location and I board them, throwing some treasure over board, hiding, then being found (I chose a bad spot!) and shot. Since I was able to take a look at their map, we sail back to them! That loot was ours!
But they were able to drop it off while we chased them around the map, and eventually we did not care anymore so we head to Galleon Grave again. So we have fun, sail around when suddenly we all die to an explosive barrel that a boarder had put on our ship! We got killed when we let our guard down!
We realised that we had wasted a lot of time again, and still had not loot. No levels... No experience. And the last comment that was said in the Ferry was:
"What a waste of time. We could have used it to play Hide and Seek!"
Tl;Dr Hide and Seek is the best. Skeleton forts with no supplies is not. And a lot of laughter.
And wow I typed more than I was planning to. XD Good job if someone actually read all that. XD
