Minor rewards for killing skeletons

  • As it stands there's no reason to engage a skeleton that you don't have to. This leads to some very unrewarding battles. How about a chance for the white skeletons to drop a low level (foul is it?) skull? We could consider the skeleton it came from a long dead first mate, which is why they are nameless.

  • My idea is similar so I will add to this thread. I had thought it made sense to earn a tiny amount of rep with the Order of Souls for killing normal skeletons that spawn on you randomly. I agree with original poster that there should be some kind of player reward when you end up having to fight a dozen white skels just to search the island

  • If those skeletons aren't in the way or not causing an issue then why waste time engaging them. If they are then simply kill them why do you have to be rewarded for it. If an award is a must then the fact they aren't going to cause any more hassle is the reward but a foul bounty skull for every skeleton killed would be too much and actually when you have 20+ skeletons in a wave the last thing you want is to run around looking for the dropped skulls. Also it would make the Order of Souls progression too easy. However if they did it perhaps you have 1/100 chance of getting a foul bounty skull from a standard skeleton then maybe it would be something to consider.

  • @alphacenturion2 I'm definitely not saying each skeleton should drop a skull, and the foul skulls are worth peanuts in the long run, so even if 1/50 dropped them it would be nice. You don't have to search all over for them, since they're really cheap, but when you do find one its a shot to the wallet.

  • We're talking about the ones that get in the way of what you are doing... "Just avoid them" is what I'm already doing as much as possible, lol? This game rewards you for pretty much everything else except killing normal skels.

    "Why do gamers need to be rewarded for game activities?" I don't know how to answer that question... It should be clear to anybody: in-game rewards are the only reason we play the game...

    A better question is "Why wouldn't the Order of Souls WANT to reward a pirate for killing more skeletons?"

    We already have a chance to find random skulls just lying on the beach in the game world. Not sure we need another way to get random skulls in my opinion
