What happens when quest radial is full? Developers, anyone?

  • G'day, I was slooping with my mate last night and we finally got some worthy voyages of five or six quests each voyage.
We found several messages in bottles that took up the remaining vacant positions of the quest radial except for one free space.
Then I found another bottle but I was afraid that if I picked up the bottle that it could have up to three or four more quests and we would miss out on reaping from their rewards. So I suggested we at least finish the current quest before picking up the bottle.

My question is, if the bottle did have multiple quests would it start a second radial or would we lose them due to insufficient space?

  • @admiral-rrrsole I'd be willing to bet that it would work similarly to how the item wheel works by having you hit a button to access the second screen.

I can confirm that this is exactly how it works in game ;)

  • @griautis Thank you. I was hoping for that answer.

Fair winds and happy sailing. :o)

  • Yup, I've been up to page 3 before on voyage papers.

  • @natsu-v2 Oh wow, haha! That's impressive!

  • Would be interested to know what the max is, made it to 5 pages once.

  • @tartansnake-8 picking up every bottle but desperately avoiding to do any voyage for a whole day or how did you get there?

  • @crimsonraziel That's how I did it when I wanted to test if there was a third page. Granted, this was done back in a pioneer session when the bottles were first introduced, and the item discovery rate for them was through the roof.

  • @crimsonraziel - Sometimes I just enjoy exploring the world and try'n to chat with other crews. I chucked down a treasure quest which gave me 6 maps then collected bottles & books while exploring. Once I had a few I wanted to see how far it would go.

Wish you could store them for a later session as I didn't complete any. Although it did help my distance sailed :-)
