Are you getting attacked on sight? Are you using a mic in game chat?

My friends and I have played a lot in party chat on Xbox because we have had times where using the game chat one of our crew would be unable to hear anyone or be heard. Last night while we did a 3 man galleon we tried game chat again and it worked no probs, we also turned 2 possible attack on sight encounters into friendly ones by talking. A 2 man sloop manouvered towards us looking aggressive but we told them we are friendly so if you leave us alone we will do the same and they agreed and turned away. We made a mental note of their ship customisation and left each other to our voyages. The second ship we encountered was at an outpost already as we arrived. I went over and explained we are just dropping off and they are free to do the same without hassle. These guys were actual newbies who asked for our help and we put one crew member aboard their ship who went with them and showed them how to locate the "X" marks the spot location and get the chest. Obviously there are blood thirsty people who don't care that you have to say but if you are not using mic and game chat maybe give it a go guys? We had a 100% no aggression result last night which I credit the use of voice communication to. Sail safe and all the types of players whether PVE or PVP find the fun and experience they are looking for....yaaaar
