Cross platform play is awful

Let me get this straight... You understand that kb/m is a better tool for gaming in most cases but you'd rather hide from it instead of be able to use it yourself? Why aren't you asking for kb/m support?

why not build a PC?

The underlying issue is Xbox or rather Microsoft and their greed to double dip. They knew cross platform was a failed venture. They sold more copies of SoT this way despite killing the fan base doing so. Short run economics at its finest.

It's amusing that you think you can speak for all console players. I, personally, bought a console to play with my friends who play on console. I, personally, would love kb/m support as an OPTION because no one should be arbitrarily gimped unless they choose it for themselves. Now what? I'm not console enough for you because I prefer options to limitations?

You don't have to play with a keyboard because it's better than the controller. You still can choose comfort over efficiency, and if you're doing that, why would you expect someone else to limit themselves because of your choice?

@ttargetpractice that’s a valid argument. But I got an xbox because I liked playing with a controller and the Xbox community. I used to play CS and a few other FPS on PC but the PC community is so toxic it made it not fun.

For instance, almost every time I run into PC gamers on SoT they rub in how much better PC is and talk down to Xbox players. And 9 out of 10 times they don’t even sink the ship, they just stay on board and grief.

So even if they did add kB/m support, that wouldn’t fix the toxic PC players (not to mention how much easier it is to cheat on PC). So I’d rather PC players play with and grief each other and the Xbox players play together.

removing cross play or adding options divides the player base. Means more server transfers and longer match matching times. Why not add an option to up the input on the controller?

@horty Are you really trying to make it seem like xbox doesn't have it's own share of toxic players? There is no crossplay on call of duty, the division, or that sad excuse for a rainbow six title, either. Let me know how great those communities are on xbox.

@hiyall1 because not all of us have $3g's to build a proper gaming pc. So it should be seperate. And furthermore i for one hope microsoft eventually drops the banhammer on k&m players. If u r a pc player ( or a console player and u use k&m) in a game were 90% of the other players r not u r simply a troll. If u r playing on pc, u guys need ur own servers. Better processing power, faster response time and k&m give u a distinct and overwhelming advantage over console players. And b4 all of u comment on how i should be better/try harder, im a retired battlefield series tourney player in my mid 30's, so no im no a newb or whatever u thonk. PC simply has the advantage. Like it or not. It comes down to numbers and numbers break the argument EVERY TIME.

@lt-j-white One issue I remember reading is that visuals have to be optimized for xbox and actually prevents pc players from experiencing the full graphics they normally would such as the watrr effects in this game. This is what I read anyways

@jester776 im not slow and have no prob killing most ppl. But when a pc guy can turn faster than u (with ur controller sensitivity maxed) and just run past u and shoot u in the back, it gets frustrating. Not to mention the hacks ive encountered from pc losers (aimbots for long distance sniping, automatic cannons with no reload, swimming/running/sailing at 3x speed, just to mention a few, auto fixing broken hulls with multiple holes).

@enticed-malice no. Its something that NEEDS to be addressed by rare. I really dont care if pvp trolls (im sure just like u) want it or not. This should be written on a million forums til the fix it

if you cant handle yourself thats on you, no reason for you to come bump a 4 month old thread, which violates the tos here when its dead and call pc players losers and assume im a troll. Good job mr new forum member typical.

@enticed-malice whatever bro. If all u do is pvp in this game ur a troll. I neversaid that xbox doesnt have (Mod edited). It absolutely does. But if ur on a pc they should reduce ur mouse sensativity or force u to use a microsoft controller. And they need to ban cheaters. Thats my main beef if u paid attention at all.

so according to you, a pvp player is a troll. You should think about your profiling ways.
