@acid182 It is for keyboard and mouse only. You should be able to adjust your sensitivity of your controller in game. With the new update, the sensitivity setting gets pretty high.

Explain that.
The only effect is that you would have less Xbox one controller opponents. Making it so there are less players in the game that you have a competitive advantage over is not "penalizing" you. You are not entitled to having a competitive advantage over other players.

Irony of this is that console players also buy better controllers or grips (most popular being KontrolFreek) for said controllers for the games they play and want an edge in over the rest of the players they encounter which makes your anaolgy and excuse invalid since most anything that is not made by the console manufacturer is by nature not official unless specifically specified by them.
As for a PC user having a controller.. you must of missed all the posts that state there are those on PC that choose to use a controller for this game when they feel like swapping to it at the time, hell I swap to the one I have plugged in when I want to use it to sail the galleon I am on at the time when I don't feel like using the A and D keys to steer.

XIM is still limited by the capped turning speeds of a controller. All the hardware does is pass MKB commands through a controller proxy.

Also it's not an excuse, it's been legitimately proven that keyboard/mouse is better for aiming. Just because it suits PC gamers to say 'no no, we were wrong' because they have an obvious advantage now doesn't diminish results.
Also try reading my post, I didn't say that nobody on PC uses controller, I said that for a cross-platform title they should have to to make it a fair playing field. You don't get to brag because you are basically denying your competition the same equipment you get. Your keyboard/mouse wasn't $75+ USD so why should console players have to shell out extra to be equal? Isn't the whole point of cross-platform for equality amongst gamers?

I am NOT the one denying them the option.. its MS that are denying it since they have yet to implement the option for game developers to enable it for those that want the option to use them. I and many others are suggesting an option for those again that want to use it until it is natively supported on their consoles.
As for even playing fields.. no there is no such thing. There will always be someone with either better skills, setup or both to what the other person has at the time and more so in regards to the ping to the servers they are playing on if one is closer to it then the other.
When it comes to cross-play I have stated this in the past in many other threads on various forums: always on for co-op and toggle for those that want it for pvp.

We can't help the situation we're in because we're being denied a sporting chance, and sure XIM and Keymannder and stuff like that might help, but it's unreasonable to ask console players to shell out more cash when you get everything right off the bat.

Thing is that everytime they will be balancing one way the other side will be complaining, there is no such thing a perfect balance especially in online games.
Yes I know it may be unreasonable to some people to shell out but if you don't want it then don't buy it and just keep ranting to MS not the people that you are playing against about the fact they are taking too long to implement the native support of kb+m controls for dev's to enable for the console versions and give you this sporting chance with that version of the game which until that time these posts will be looping over and over.

Nobody is being given anything tho. I bought my PC just like an Xboxer bought his Xbox. Hardware and peripherals cost money, like any other product. I'm not playing with the noname mouse that came with my PC either. l**o... pretty much, just look at the hori tac pro on the PS4 side, this is why we suggest a better option in the mean time whilst it exists so that people don't waste the money on something that makes it worse off for them in the long run.

Funny enough I was looking at one of those thanks to Jayztwocents since he did a vid on it but I was too late on learning about it since I sold my ps3 and 360 a month or so before to help pay for a new PC and upgrades for it.
@coldpopeye up until now there is no evidence Microsoft have ever banned users for using xim which some streamers have used for over 6 years if its allowed or not is left to the discretion of the game developers themselves it seems. and in the case of a cross platform game I don't see how they could ban a product like that since natively pc plays with mouse and keyboard so it would be unfair to ban it. and yes these things do cost money, however I also have a Xbox one and use a elite controller with that and could argue that the 4 customisable paddles on the bottom give a competitive edge as I never have to take a finger off either my joysticks or that a xbox one x has a greater chipset than my standard Xbox which gives them an advantage over them players so they need to be segregated also with a filter out option? and should we argue that Xbox players using elite controllers be segregated also as they spent extra money for a smoother experience so lets throw in another filter option from them. and its a shame but until Microsoft bring out the mouse keyboard support which they keep saying is coming and some sort of upgrade to bring joystick in line with them would be nice also like a app to change sensitivite on them etc, things like xim is the only way to level playing field or split the community into Xbox one/xbox one X/Elite controller/pc and if that's the case what's the point of cross play to start with all they have done is spent tons of money time and effort to bring the thing in to then split it apart again which seems silly and even after segregating it there is still people with an advantage on xbox. there never really has been a level playing ground on console outside of the MLG as there is different levels of console, supported and even 3rd party controllers which are supperior

I still don't get these arguments. This must be like the 10th thread I have see about Crossplay.
I play on both platforms. I happen to be horrible at FPS style PvP. However, I tend to do better on my PC. Maybe because I am more used to the KB/M set up? Maybe the PC is faster? Maybe both.
Here is what I do not understand. How do you KNOW who is or is not on a PC? Is that the first thing console players say when they get killed, or beaten? Must have been a PC player! Because that is the way it seems. As if you could not be beaten by another console player...LOL, really?
Now, to be fair, I don't think servers should be separated. I do believe you should have the choice of engaging in crossplay though. At least until they fix the issues with cheating they talked about during the last update.
I'm on PC and bought the Sea of Thieves Xbox controller so I can play on my TV.
Am I doing it wrong? 🤣I would like that Rare adds a higher turn speed at full tilt of the analog stick though. It just takes too long to do a 180° with the controller.
Oh and I can't decide if I should invert the Y-axis or not. Pretty sure Goldeneye 64 and Turok had it inverted but right now I feel like I could get used to either way.

This. This is the one thing that would bring back so many console users. Everyone I started playing with at release have quit because they don’t want to play against PC. Just give us the option to turn it off already.

So in order to compete against PC players I have to go spend another $100+? How the F is that even an argument? Just give us the option to turn off crossplay and let people choose who they want to play with/against. It’s literally only PC players that don’t want the option added.

I love Hori they make quality peripherals. Been using them since Ace combat 5 for all my 3rd party stuff. And if someone complains that "YOU GOTTA PAY TO PLAY FAIR?!"
Guess what I paid for my k95 rgb and my logitech g502 too.I also paid for my predator x34 which let's me see things before console players can!
