Last night my crew and I (4 man galleon) were sailing the seas when the skull fort popped up behind us. We directly made our way towards it, stopping at an outpost first to drop our loot. When we were sitting on the outpost, we saw a galleon and a sloop heading towards the skull fort. Once we got there, they were fighting each other and we started by sitting out for a bit untill one of them sunk. When the sloop sank (which was quite fast), we went in to destroy the galleon. After we got the galleon down, we started to set our ship next to the fort while killing any leftover members of both sunken ships. Once we finally had things under control and started to kill the waves, we saw another (or the same) sloop on the horizon and shortly after a new galleon. After we brought both down, the first galleon showed up again. After we sunk them again, the other galleon showed up again. This went on for like an hour and we sunk like 8 galleons and a couple of sloops until we finally started to ran out of resources (we started with like 200 cannonballs, 1-2 gunpowder barrels, 100+ wooden planks, 150+ bananas because we had an banana crate). During this time, they tried everything to sink us down. From shooting cannonballs and using gunpowder barrels below our ship, as well as boarding our ship killing a few of us. Dispite this all, we managed to keep the ship alive.
Now that we had almost no resources left (mainly cannonballs) we were fighting a galleon and a sloop so we decided to bail out to get resources from a shipwreck nearby and then head back to the skull fort. Once we were back at the skull fort, both the sloop and galleon sunk each other so we killed the leftover members of both ships. After this we were finally able to start to finish more waves of the skull fort. But sadly enough this wasn't for long because a new sloop came to the skull fort. Before we knew it, they were close and behind our ship, placing an gunpowder barrel below our decks and boarded our ship to kill those who tried to repair. This time, we lost our ship and we had to make our long way back to the skull fort. When we finally got back to the skull fort, the sloop who killed us, as well as a galleon were fighting each other for the skull fort. Because the captain wave just spawned, both ships committed to fight on the skull fort, causing there ships to sink. We decided to park our ship again and only let 1-2 of our members finish the leftover members before we killed the skull fort captain. After that, we directly started to ship in the booty. While we were doing this, a sloop came towards the skull fort trying to steal our booty away. Just before they reached our ship, the server crashed and we lost our booty because of it. We were devastated that we lost our booty after fighting so hard and so long, only to lose it because the server crashed. Dispite this all, we were really proud of ourselfs by defending ourself from so much pressure during the whole skull fort. I guess the biggest (and only) booty we got is the story to tell, even though we missed out on gold&EXP from turning in the real booty.
