Like you've already noted, if it comes down hardware that you out for then it sounds like an issue beyond the developers responsibility. You should be glad you can at least play on Xbox I guess. If I could afford it I'd also invest in an M.2 solid state drive so that my load and spawn times were even faster, but I wouldn't jump on the forum about prohibiting people from playing with people with M.2 drives on here would I? I'm not denying the advantages, I'm saying you're a minority, the advantages are actually not that bad as you're trying to claim, and most people don't care. As well they shouldn't because what's losing once in a while to an occasional streamer who's teaming, someone who's macroing, or whatever the case may be, over some silly pirate cosmetics. It's not a rampant issue. I get over it when I run into it and accept that on a general level the game is still enjoyable.

    Or you could just buy a console and that would make it equal... SEE HOW STUPID that sounded?

    Well you've got that a bit wrong. They CANT limit us. There's nothing they or anyone else can do to make a controller equal to keyboard and mouse. It's just superior (unless you're playing trials or rocket league! Good thing controllers work great on PC as well!)

    There's no direct way to limit you, no, people have made 3rd party programs to fix developer follies. However, if they say, released PC at locked 30 FPS with only controller supported, then that would be limiting.

    I'd like to see more cross plat games personally, I have a friend I play with daily that plays on PC. He also has an xbox.

    I'd also like to see multi platform games in general play together more. Keep your exclusives, but for non exclusives, imagine how much better the experience would be if the game was across xbox, ps4, and pc. Bigger player base means faster matchmaking, and BETTER matchmaking because you have significantly expanded the player pool.

    I understand this kind of game doesn't really do skill based matchmaking like a FPS does or something, but just in general, I'd like to see more cross plat play available.

    they should add something for the xbox players. you can spot xbox players ez. if you watch youtuber or twitch streamers, they reking xbox players like bots. ths guys think they are skilled players because of that but they arent. i do the same , soloing galles with 4 random xbox player grps. i dont care if xbox player have a slight advantage in health or more ammo to balance pirate vs pirat fights. ATM im bored they cant do any s**t against you if you are a average PC gamer. Image you are a longtime shooter player, its even more worse. i want fair pvp fights, im not playing this game for grinding console players.

    @kashaarafall And a shame it never will be if Rare keeps running with blinders on, they listen to the community on a lot of things, but not what really matters. Toxic PvP'ers make the game unfun, and PC players make it outright unplayable.

    KB/M is ALWAYS superior in any action/shooter games. Force controller use on PC version and/or give full KB/M support to console if you wanna cross platform.

    In general I think it's a great idea and like others in this thread it's led to great fun (kid on the XBOX, me on the PC or vice versa so we can play together) but some of the issue is the meld of "culture". I've been a PC and console player my whole life but there are a lot more kids and younger players on consoles and the PC PVP scene is....well...you know. Console culture is little better in some ways and probably worse in some but yeah it't just a tough mix, controller disparities completely aside.

    console vs pc wars, how original. personally i don't care about m/kb advantages, or losing a gunfight i felt i should have won. what i do care about is the protection of us honest gamers from the legions of cheating hackers out there. as xbox users we collectively pay hundreds of millions of dollars per year, and being protected from hackers is part of the benefit we receive in return. unless ms starts taking this seriously when forcing cross platform on us they will simply be a category of game i will avoid. best case, ms steps up to the plate and protects us all, worst case, they'll need to live without my money.

    Nobody protected me when PS4 players cheated on me in Destiny 1, that had not PC players. PS4 being the anecdote, there were also cheaters on XBox consoles.

    You are part of the console vs PC wars, you are also really "original".

    Im not. Just met two kind PC'ers today and had a blast with them. After hanging out a bit we decided to start up a galleon and hit the sea's together. I am enjoying meeting people I otherwise wouldnt meet. I mean when I have treasure I am a hermit but if I dont have anything on my boat to lose I am starting to engage with people more.

    I do think its not a bad idea to make it an option.

    are you sure they didn't protect you? ban hammers are wielded on consoles all the time. playstation may have lagged a little behind on this, as they were a free service for many years.

    And let's hope the same happens here. You forget that eveybody is victim of those cheaters, also us, legitime PC players, the huge majority. So stop insulting us by proxy of some bad apples, every basket, consoles too, have them.

    @levernicus someone getting legendary doesn't affect my gameplay. if two people of equal skill 1v1 in this game , one on xbox and one on pc the pc would win due to acquiring his/her target and executing the shot faster. pc is just capable of faster action and reaction times.

    I summed up 16 hrs of game play.... Boring.
    196 bucks 2 accounts, and will never buy another MS game ever.

    Was hoping they would release the real game soon, guess not. Ill check back in after 6 months but i doubt it will be some full game by then. Alpha at best.

    Its gonna be the next big thing with most games. They have been pushing for it for years and now we actually got games that let us. People want to move away from it? The difference between pc and xbox really isnt game breaking and everyone is losing their minds about it. So you get on the game and dont have fun because its so unbalanced? Sorry but sounds silly to me.

    Lets apprcaite that games are moving forwards with us all playing together. Not knock it back a few paces

    That's how it plays out most of the time! PC player boards ship, xbox players can't turn quick enough to hit him, pc player wins! Not always the case, but more often than not, therefore an advantage!
    Yes, these aren't very experienced xbox players, but regardless it still shows the speed difference in moving, turning & aiming!

    We're lucky as we have both Xbox & PS4 so when buying Elite Dangerous I bought it for the PS4 and side stepped the whole Cross Play issue.

    Prevent him from reaching you. Im a xbox player and im not complaining. Ive out done pc players a few times. If they manage to get to you then it will be difficult but you can kill.them before they reach.

    Because they couldn't turn quick enough to target him, that's the whole point & 95% of the argument about having a cross play option!!
    I kill pc players as well, but when your enemy is of equal skill, then more often than not you will lose!

    Yet none of you even post why it's soooo unfair.

    Is it the controls?

    Is it the graphics?

    Because I can tell you I play with controller on PC and s**t on lots of kids who cry like you on these forums every single day.

    Also Since playing I have experienced one hacker in about 500 hours of game play.

    Obviously there are better Xbox players than the ones in my video, but it doesn't change the fact that they are limited.

    I haven't seen anyone bring this up until now, and its a huge issue. You load onto your boat faster than Xbox players after dying. Giving you that last second to save your boat.

    I'm happy that you kill people with a controller, so do loads of those 'crying' about the unfair advantage pc players have!
    It's a combination of everything! All the little advantages add up!
    Turn & aim speed on kb+m, everything can be hotkeyed, macros, dpi switches, draw distance, fps, loading times, communication (can be in party chat & game chat at the same time!) etc etc.
    There are a few, do you need any more?

    Whether you think that the advantage is an issue or not, its there. So why not fix the problem if it can be fixed? Other games have done it and its worked perfectly.

    And im all up for fixing it if thats what people want!! But for people to turn around and say get rid of crossplay because of it, is ridiculous!

    Look how long gamers have wanted to be able to play with their friends on other consoles or pc...

    Now we got it, its all doom and gloom. Lets praise where its come to and not knock it back down.
