Do you have to HOLD the push to talk button ...

    Sorry, but I've searched for hours for the answer to this question and I can't find it anywhere. Do you have to HOLD the push to talk button whilst talking like you would on a real radio PTT ? Or do you tap it once to enable and tap it once to disable ?

    @quadlotus On my headset on xbox one I have to keep flicking the mute button on and off as voice chat seems to be always on, a push to talk option would be nice for us.

    @quadlotus I'm not on PC but i believe it is push to talk.

    You can set it to push to talk or always on. There is a bug atm though which turns it off when you first load in until you press the ptt button (Left Alt by default).

    PTT is bugged in PC.

    You have to go into settings, change PTT off and close the menu.

    Re-open it and turn PTT back on EVERY time you get into a new server.

    The key to push is Alt unless you changed it.

    I've read nearly ALL the discussions about push to talk bugs, but that's not what I'm asking. Let's assume that push to talk is enabled and working - do you have to HOLD the left-alt all the time you are speaking ?

    I'm pretty sure you have to hold it. Would be nice to have a visual indication though.

    Yes you do, otherwise it would be called 'Toggle to talk' ;)

    Looks like I'll have to grow another finger - unless they implement Ktingaling's 'TTT' idea :)
