Server Selection/Lag/Ping is so bad

    How are you guys finding this lag/server selection, it seems terrible on xbox as we cant select a server with a good ping. I play with 2 XBOX friends and 1 PC player usually.

    The issue we always run into is that when that PC player is not on to choose a server with a good ping it just randomly choose's a server for us xbox players.
    There has been times when us xbox players are lagging so bad and the PC player joins our gallon and says the ping is so high like 300
    This is not to do with population as I've joined games early/mid day/night time and still seem to join American East Coast servers

    To note also all 4 of us are in europe

    I really feel you need to sort out the way joining a crew will only search EU and if everything else fails then join American E.C servers

    Or hey be nice to your Xbox community and let them turn on a small server ping so we can see the server ping and the issue and maybe be even super nice and give us a server selection menu.

    Anyone else having issues with lag due to auto server selection..?

    Yes being an xbox player this has happened to me a number of times, I know Rare have said they are working on a "matchmaking" process for us and hopefully this will give the option to at least select regions like Europe to reduce this issue.

    Most of the time I notice pretty quickly if a server is going to be a poor choice for me and just leave the game and rejoin. Not ideal but needs must.

    @sefer-noctis Yeah I just find it strange they seem to be really honest with the community but hide this, I just dont see why like alot of games give you an option to turn on Ping and Fps on the top right or bottem left of your screen it lets you know its not your actually internet its the server you joined...

    The matchmaking I seen was them working on matchmaking with people with mic's and that have they said they will have region selection?

    @pixelhood I didn't hear a region selection option but a language one was mentioned, I guess we'll have to wait and see what happens.

    It is really bad right now for me as EU player. I haven't experienced such problems a while ago as I am today. Almost impossible to play with constant lag on the seas and then right after you get some loot, game disconnects you. Awesome!

    Im having really bad problems with latency when I`m not playing on SA servers (Im from Brazil).

    The matchmaking almost always will put me in a server other than SA and I have no control over that.

    They changed something on the routing because before the SA servers were released my ping stayed around 180-250. Now it's always around 250~500 (makes the experience really unplayable with a lot of teleports all over the place)...

    Hope they fix that because I actually like playing with randoms.

    Far too many times have i lagged off my ship at totally the wrong times. I now use the lag as early warning of approaching players as that's when it's worst.
