Now take this Seafarer's chest for your efforts!
Please, for the love all that is good and piratey, make these quests more worthwhile. There is nothing so deflating than spending 30 minutes trying to find landmarks on an island to discover a Seafarer's Chest beneath your shovel.
It's gotten to the point that I just cancel Gold Hoarders quests that are primarily riddles. I used to love these quests, but the payoff is just so unrewarding.
I agree, these quests should have more rewarding chests since they are more time consuming. Some riddles are easy and can be solved in 3 minutes, others can take a long time since some objects on the island are harder to find. But all of them take more time than the X marks the spot, and therefore they should have more valuable chests.
This is just my opinion, don't take it as a fact.
For solo play riddles are often a curse. Especially on a large island where you have no choice but to leave your sloop unattended for longer than you’d wish. All for a seafearers. At times the game seems cruel at best - ill thought out and unintuitive at worst. I guess part of the fun is the gamble though ...
