I believe the achievement - "You can always Trust the Untrustworthy" is bugged. I know I have done this a few times and just recently did it again today and did not get the achievement. I guess the fact that 0% have it is an indicator
To be clear, this achievement is to "Cash in a stolen Captain's chest." I have done this multiple times on the sea. Does this have to be performed on an outpost itself?
@lord-sphinktus I don't think the brig light applies to this achievement, had a friend pop it after turning all but the brig light off.
@lord-sphinktus Tried it 3 or 4x on a sloop with no lights on, still no achievement, although really old achievements earned are still popping in so there's hope for the storm one still.
@cpt-peach-beard trophies are bugged, you might get credit you might not. But we're the entitled ones for thinking that we deserve a fully functioning game for our 60 dollar investment. Echoing sentiments from our father's generation. That luxuries are not necessities and proper function is just a luxury we shouldn't expect. Sorry it's 2018 and I expect things to work the way they're supposed to especially if they're a paid for product.

This one popped for me yesterday as soon as I logged in.
@TommyHangout I've also stolen and cashed in multiple Captain's chests without receiving the achievement, pretty sure the most recent was yesterday as well.
There's a few others (can't remember off the top of my head) that I know I've earned without any pop either, so it's not just this one.
Plenty of people, including myself, have stolen a captains chest and cashed it in. From someones ship, from the sea after sinking a ship and from a pirate trying to deliver at the outpost. The reason I figure the achievement is properly bugged and not just delayed like the others, is the fact that 0.00% of gamers have unlocked this seemingly simple achievement.

I'd wager some are overlooking this, as the storm is "dark", so they may incorrectly think it's nighttime. Best bet is to look at your timepiece and confirm that it is in fact night, and not simply dark due to the storm blocking the sunlight.

we did that and its not able to be shut off .. so they said unless he just couldnt get it to turn off idk.

Nope, not the brig light. Was the time of day.
Done this plenty of times and never had the achievement.
