Thievery and general mayhem are clear themes of this game, and a large part of its charm as well. However, being vulnerable at all times to the actions of other hostile players, can wear very thin. Particularly at ports. Making off with a players loot is obviously part of the game, but when a player can lose hours of effort mere feet from the turn-in location, there's a problem. This issue becomes larger if you play solo clearly, but also makes merchant alliance voyages, needlessly more difficult. Therefore:
Make Ports Safe
Currently there are only 6 ports in game. I propose a zone that allows for no PvP, and locks ownership of loot while in that area. The limits of which would begin when the islands name appear, and extend to shore and the port its self. Such modification would barely alter the overall size of playable area, and would give peaceful players a better way to avoid the relentlessly aggressive.
