It’s appauling seeing fellow console players like myself complaining about cross play. Whether you play on console or PC, getting rid of crossplay WILL NOT change your SoT experience. You will always get good and bad players alike and a PC player taking out your 4 man crew single handily has nothing to do with the fact that player is playing on PC.. it was probably something to do with how unorganised your crew was.. too much grog perhaps.
I play this game a fair amount (enough to notice hackers) and I’m yet to witness one hack in gameplay, yet I’m seeing a lot of talk on here about hackers. There’s a big difference between a hacker and someone who is just genuially good at the game. Also how can you even tell an enemy pirate is playing on PC unless he/she confirms that with you in chat during your conflict together.. which I’m sure has never happened ha!
Please just accept the fact that rare have done something amazing allowing crossplay to function as well as it is considering the game hasn’t even been out a full month yet. Do not ruin this for people like myself who play with PC players more than console on this game.
Only real advantage a PC player has over console is they get to type in chat rather than saying “aye” all the time.
EDIT: And before someone complains about PC players having an advantage over console when it comes to being able to jump and aim more efficiently; there’s been methods out, about and known of for years now, claw method, switching your jump button, buying a scuf controller etc.
Before console players even think about complaining about PC players having a jump/aim advantage, you had 10+ years playing under the call of duty franchise and if you haven’t already adapted to the many “jumping whilst aiming” methods then what the heck have you been doing for the past 10 years.
Gears of War players I feel you but other than that I personally think people are just looking for excuses.
