I feel the option to invite someone to your crew directly from in the game would be beneficial, particularly when you run into a friendly solo player and you have an open spot on your ship that they are willing to fill.
I know you can invite through the Xbox app, and that's a lot easier for console players, but on the PC side, the Xbox app is a disaster and highly invasive to the experience.
@calibrumm it’s a nice idea and maybe could be tied to a paired emote like the captains salute that creates a friend request, when both do it simultaneously

This works in that direction, but what we need is in-game invites to an existing ship. There's no way I've been able to find when I am out solo sloopin' to invite someone to party, and since I was set to solo it doesn't seem to be able to make it a 2 person sloop for the person trying to join in the manner you explain.
The ability to change it from a one to two pirate sloop, or a three to four pirate galleon with out leaving the session, and then getting a specific person to join would be great. If this functionality exists it is not very intuitive.

Even change ship class, make it where its only at an outpost maybe? but yeah, and I think that feature will come with locked parties
