I'm loving the game so far guys, well done! I had a few ideas for game implementation. Not all of these are mine as some of them have been discussed among my clan's crews as we've been playing.
- It would be cool if the players could design content for sails, hulls, etc. As complete creative freedom would require policing, possibly a creation system in game where symbols, designs, colors could be combined. Theoretically, this would prevent skin application issues and prevent questionable content submissions.
- Different ship designs would be nice though I know this would lead to a large number of design and balancing issues.
- Player bounties. For those of us that get completely sidetracked from missions when a player target appears on the horizon, it would be nice if you could choose privateering missions to hunt player ships for gold. You could also add in missions to escort an NPC convoy or something.
- Instanced PVP area. Perhaps have several ships instanced in the same zone with some loot already on ship. The last ship standing gets to collect all the loot from the water of the sunken ships. Perhaps cosmetic rewards for prestige attained through pvp ship combat. Possibly incorporate the GTAV model where if a crew is killing a bunch of ships, their loot keeps going up as they get more infamous but then they're flagged somehow on the map for other crews to take them out, like getting paid for ending the reign of terror.
- Please add in the ability to queue up with other ships crewed by friends. I know this could be completely unbalanced if you're able to do this in the main game world (fleets against a sloop for example). Perhaps adding in the ability for custom games or something involving a copy of the world, allowing clans to either explore and voyage together or blast the living c**p out of each other.
