I can't believe at Rare you would intentionally give another advantage to PC players and increase their aim speeds while us on console are still suffering from slow aims. I understand it was an issue and PC players were destroying their mouse pads but I can't even use an eye of reach with how slow the scope is and now they have the ability to? Its a shared open world that has a lot of PVP and to go to that kind of extreme is just bad game design. Why not do the same change to console players? Not even close to the same fairness now and its because of y'alls "FIX." Next time do it the right way instead of giving a blatant advantage to one particular system in a cross platform game. End rant.
Why cater exclusively to PC?!

Since you are not a pc player you have no say in this recent update. The aim down site with the eye of reach before the update took you at least 10 mouse swipes/lifting after every swipe to even go in a 360 unlike xbox where u just hold 1 direction on a joystick. I play both pc and xbox and this was necessary for fair gameplay with the eye of reach buff that just came out. Il be glad to see more crybaby xbox players claim we have an unfair advantage. Lol
@gawdly-nevik Well...it is because PC players (generally, does not apply to all of us, just most of us) are bigger, stronger, better looking, faster, smarter, make more money, always get the girl, drive sexier cars and are better loved by developers. But, they like you guys too! They made you a controller and controller stands...that is good, right?
@touchdown1504
You guys also like to develop tools like Walllhax and ESP stuff...
Either way, I don't see how your comment is in anyway related to the topic other than trying to make yourself feel better. Tbh... The fact that you have to mention looks, etc makes me think that you may not be very confident in that aspect of yourself...
You can always increase your dpi settings. I have played on both xbox and pc and pc is always going to outperform a controller. It is much easier to aim and keep your aim with a mouse and high dpi than an analog thumbstick on a controller.Give xbox players full mouse and keyboard implementation and then you can call it fair. No more ability to complain.
@vderickv Obviously you're an advant PC player that is fine of this new advantage given to you. Also I'm not sure how much of that post you actually read, but I never denied it being an issue on PC. The fact alone that "I have no say because in not PC" just shows how ignorant you are. Of course I have a say- its a shared open world- get over yourself. The same problem you have on PC I have on console except now you have a fix while I'm left still not being able to use a sniper. [Mod Edited - Derogatory Term Removed]. I stated facts, you're just here to flex your "pc m*********e e w****r. You could at least be constructive with your post.
@tfsblindprophet It was a joke buddy...I happen to play on both platforms. And yes, I find it easier on PC.

@playfuldreaming No. Just no.
No you didn't read the patch notes or no you don't want to read them?
@playfuldreaming said in Why cater exclusively to PC?!:
Please read the patch notes again. They didn't give PC players an advantage; they sped up down-sight aiming while using the sniper because mouse acceleration on PC caused it to move much slower than for Xbox players.
In other words, those playing on Xbox actually had an advantage over PC players.
I play on pc and i would also like to add i certainly have over 100 hours on the game and throughout that time ive maybe seen 1 person use EoR against me, they died. EoR was inferior pre patch and it will continue being inferior even after this patch. Just because you can turn a little faster doesnt mean people are going to start using it, it is such a rare situational weapon cause 99% of the time youre in pvp is when youre boarding a ship or being boarded.
PC will always have an advantage over xbox players.@ii-axelforce-ii said in Why cater exclusively to PC?!:

PC will always have an advantage over xbox players. You do understand that in the specific instance of the sniper rifle, PC players were at a disadvantage? That's all the patch attempted to correct. Whether or not PC players are advantaged in other ways is irrelevant to this particular discussion.
@playfuldreaming please get out of this thread with your remedial thoughts. If anything it was already balanced. The only thing they attempted to rectify was giving pc an even larger advantage. I just did a side by side comparison now of scope speed and if you can't seethe difference you're in denial. I'm pro cross play but you can't address an issue for one platform when its an issue on both.
@tfsblindprophet His statement had everything to do with the topic he answered all further questions and concerns with that statement and that statement alone. The eye of reach was terrible before this update and was a much needed fix.
@gawdly-nevik but.....they are addressing the issue by giving an ads slider in a coming update . People with a controller were and still are able to turn up their sens and they are able to aim faster with the eye of reach that didnt happen on pc until today we had to crank our dpi up to insane levels to get it to function properly . Its not giving someone an advantage as much as it was fixing an issue.

seems like this a pc game with XBOX support, cross-platform😳

They won't believe a word that you say. I've had discussions about crossplay and advantages a couple times now and they never want to hear anyone else side of it and if you say something true and they know its true they'll just go.....yeah well all pc players are hackers like its god word and everyone on pc hacks.
@gawdly-nevik I'm losing my mind that we don't have an option yet to play exclusively with console players, its really absurd
@ii-axelforce-ii sagte in Why cater exclusively to PC?!:
@playfuldreaming Im just saying that instance of an EoR battle is so unlikely to happen it doesnt even matter, 99% of the time players are fighting with blunderbuss pistol sword. EoR is inferior
Made msyelf an dpi switch script that ups it big time while holding right mouse button so it's the same as without ads. Pistol + EoR is now craaaazy. I can aim so quick with the EoR in ads....Excactly how it should be love it! :D

That maybe the case but most PC gamers have gaming mice which can get around the sensitivity issue they had
@gawdly-nevik Ohh your kicking a hornets nest with this one! aha
As i always say to these threads, just give us an option to opt out of crossplay. Everyone wins then, exept the people who want to play against handicapped players..to them i say fight, someone your own size ya girlscouts!
@knifelife like I said, keep it constructive. If you're going to come in and leave a half thought out idea as a post then maybe don't post anything? Its so funny how obvious it is when one of you PC players make a post.
@gawdly-nevik And i would say if you are gonna try and jump down someones throat and accuse them of something maybe consider acually reading there post first!
And you might want to work on your detective skills, im a console player.. And work on your manners and anger management while your at it.
You know lumping all of us PC players in together isn’t any different than your complaints about many of the PC players comment.
Now that i got that out of the way, while I totally love the idea of this cross platform compatability, I think it is an unfortunate truth that both side are going to have various advantages over eachother, and that they are going to usually fall on the PC side.
Consoles generally get the benefit of the constant from just holding the stick in a direction and aimassist functionality. While PC will always have better more percice control and generally faster control ability.
I have played on both platforms. There was a time that I thought a controller was superior. I have even met many console players who believe that as well or that it would just be too hard with a mouse and keyboard. Now i cannot speak for all, but i can say , that in my opinion, the mouse and keyboard will forever out perform a controller with maybe the acception fo flight sticks.
I believe bringing mouse and keyboard to the console is the only true fix that will balance out both platforms in a cross play setting. When or if that will ever happen, who knows. To be honest it is a shame how heavily competative this community has gotten. I mean this game is not some sort of CSGO or COD. (I believe those type games are toxic to the gaming community, but that’s a whole other chat) But i do believe that there is a huge PvP aspect and if it is going to be crossplay, than it needs to have some sort of balance it factor.
I haven’t played long enough to comment on this balanceing specifically but i can say i tested with a buddy tonight. He is on Xbox and has sensitivity set to 10, i’m On PC and cannot handle more than a setting of 4. In an ADS 360 spin and shoot test with the shotgun (can’t remember its name) i was able to spin 3-4 times and then shot in the time it took him to make one 360 and shoot. So i’d say it is safe to say we PC users have a distinct advantage right now. And even without these latest changes, didn’t seem hard to make adjustments be them software or hardware, that gave us a leg up.
So lets push to get consoles up to speed with PCs rather than whatever the hell has been going on in this thread. All i see is bickering and no symilance of solution.
@h0twhe3lzmcg they will probably add m/kb support for SoT. This will help a little bit and the only thing that could level crossplay a little bit. They will still suffer from the bad input lag but can aim better.
But do console players have aim assist in SoT?
