Legendary Quests THIS IS IMPOSSIBLE AND RIDICULOUS

  • I've been playing two days with a Pirate Legend, doing the Legendary Quests, and they simply suck.
And no, not because they are a compendium of the three previous quests we've been doing over and over, no, it's because the difficulty level.
It isn't hard to do, it's impossible, it's ridiculous the way the skelletons attack, the way they move, the numbers, that's how it's supposed to be "legendary"? Adding tons and tons of skelletons every single time we put a feet on the island? Every 30 seconds 3-5 appear.
And no normal skelletons, no, skelletons with double or triple the health, and of course double or triple the damage they do.
I've count like 13 skellies with bunderblusses, this would not be a problem, if it were not for that aim they have, because it's nearly impossible to elude the shots.
And that's for the Gold Hoarders and the Merchant quests, but how about the Souls ones?
Well, then it's just frustrating, because the game, despite all the things I've said before, believes it's beign too easy, so adds tons and tons of skelletons again, and again, and again, it's not hard, it's unfair.

You know how this guy I was playing with felt? This guy that has dedicated hundreds of hours to the game to reach Legend? Frustrated. He wasn't having fun, he was desiring the quest to end, and it's not supposed to be that way.
This is NOT the way to make players have fun, I can tell you it's NOT fun at all when you die +20 times on a skelletons quest because the game is broken.

  • The missions suck because they created a purely cosmetic progression system where the enemies get statistically harder to beat (higher health, more damage output, better aim) dependent on your quest rank.

A player's skill can only get them so far before the odds are just purely against them in every regard. I'm only rank 23 and even I'm getting tired of fighting the Souls quest skellies. I don't even get better rewards either. I shouldnt be getting 3 disgraced skulls after fighting 30 gold skellies with blunderbusses.

  • @ugefrostwolf Instead of insight, be ready for idiots to tell you to "GeT GOoD"

  • This grind is really just a massive trap for anyone with OCD lol. It's not fun to be doing the same three quests over and over, it's just not.

At least in other MMOs that have repetitive "go collect 10 XXX" quests, have different items to collect each time. With this it's just a random roll between castaway/foul and captain/villanous grade loot.

If Rare were to just throw an endless supply of meaningless content into the game, it would at least keep a lot of us busy enjoying the game rather than grinding for a meaningless title.

  • @subaqueousreach too true. Remember that time when the army of 500 of the most dangerous pirate skeletons were cursed to guard 1 measly shilling? Because that's every sea of thieves quest for me at this point. Why bother when all I get is a new skin?

There really needs to be a wider variety of loot for players, gear for players, and the rewards need to reflect the difficulty of the challenge. No one wants to run the most grueling challenges when all they get is a thumbs up. I want to find a bigger cannon, an exotic musket, or a cache of rare firebombs. Something that makes it worth it and may save my life when I encounter an experienced crew.

  • I kind of LOL'd at the OP, no disrespect intended. It sounds just like the PvE vs. PvP posts! None the less, what you are going through sucks, and it is because of a lack of imagination on the developer. P**s poor, the Legend "content" is about the most disappointing thing I have seen. I was grinding hard for it, after the Prodigy reveal I said screw it, now I am just cruising along.

  • I have to say you would have expected something new at pirate legend. Hearing it’s just more of the same but much harder/longer/tedious is very disappointing. Just throwing more / tougher skeletons at us is, quite frankly, lazy. If it becomes impossible to voyage - setting sail will become at the very least half redundant - at worst gamebreaking. Rare needs to show more imagination here!
