Pirate Factions/Clans

    I was playing with some friends earlier and we discussed things that would improve the game. We thought that maybe there should be an established system for people making Factions/Clans. Since other players do this in these forums anyway, why not make it official? Like GTA Crews, players could go into this website and make their own official Factions.

    Faction Abilities:

    *Faction Identification

    • Name Their Own Faction
    • Name Ships In Their Factions
    • Create A Faction Logo (With Faction Color)
    • Invite Other Players To Faction/Request To Join

    *Faction Personalization

    • Purchase Sails With Their Faction Logo
    • Purchase Faction Colored Hull
    • Purchase Faction Colored Clothing (Possibly With Logo)

    *Community Faction Leaderboards

    • Faction Statistics Posted On SoT Website
    • Faction Contests
    • Faction v Faction Battles

    Just some ideas thrown around made up on the spot so let me know what you think!

    Big fan of the use or potential use of Pirate Factions/Clans.

    On another Topic I believe I have kind of created an informal crew of like-minded Pirates. I would love to be able to collectively create or choose on a Pirate Flag, or design for the Sails.

    One of my favourite Pirate moments on a TV screen is the reveal of the Jolly Roger flag. The way they show the thought put into it and how other Pirates know the "black flag" means Pirates and the most famous Pirates had unique Flag designs.
