A thieve of the sea Lasher MX I be!!
As I sail towards the skull in the sky alone on a dual sloop. In the far distance I see a galleon in battle then the Skull vanishes. They beat it! I missed my chance or so I thought. As I approach it becomes clearer that the one galleon is actually 2 parked almost nose to nose. I couldn't see them both as I sailed towards the rear of one. The two galleons where working together to beat the Crows Nest Fortress raid.
I'm now joined by a random crew mate on my ship. A young one maybe 9 or 10. Pull the sail, get in firing position and we take a couple hits. At this distance I can see frantic bodies moving items to each ship. Fortunately this young one knows the deal and starts plastering one of the galleons. 3 of the 8 manage to get to our ship. I deal with 2 and leave him fighting the third. We're taking on water. I fling of towards the galleons. As I do I can hear that my partner is killed and 2 of them saying "Their ship is sunk" I can't speak to my partner to fill him in on my plan so I go silent.
By now my ship is sunk. I'm almost to the closest galleon and I can hear them
" We got most of our half" "Just a couple items left"
2 from the closest ship leap off to gather more treasure. I've yet to see or hear the other ships sailors. Then the two in the water see me...
One gets close and blasts a distant blunderbus shot at me..little damage. The other says "wait"
I break my silence.. "Whoa whoa hold on" I proclaim.
"Oh don't shoot him he's with the other ship"
"Easy easy there I'm with the other ship"
"Oh sorry, My bad" and they continue onto shore
I climb the ladder to friendly faces. "Wave" I go checkout the Captains Quarters...there it is the Stronghold chest! I wander out onto the balcony alone and the 2 still on the ship follow me.
I'm all decked out in the Ferrymens Garb from the controller bonus. The two start to comment and check me out while we're on the balcony.
"Wow that's a cool outfit"
"Yeah the looks awesome"
I block to show them the cool cutlass
"That thing looks so cool"
Charge and Zing!!! kill him instantly
"Who what??" Slice n dice the second. "Ahhh he's killing us"
It's just me and the booty now while the others are on shore. I grab the Stronghold chest and leap off the side of the balcony. Quickly duck behind the rocks on the shore as the other 2 race to get back on board.... I did it they didn't see me. And I can now hear them.. "He killed us" "He took the Stronghold Chest" "W*F" "Double crossed us"
I have the chest hidden from view completely on the island. Then the mayhem begins. The 2 galleon start to open fire on each other. Various obscenities follow. The ship I stole the chest from is sunk and the other I assume collected what remained and started for an outpost. As they start to head away I call to my little friend and tell him I have the big chest and ask if he can sail the boat by himself to come get me. He does his best. Crashes the ship a few times and repairs each crash, eventually getting to me. Saddly as he gets to me I hear his dad.. "Time to eat get off that now" The poor guy didn't get to cash in on my thievery.
From the Fortress I can see the other galleon at Ancient Spire outpost so I can't take it there. I head opposite to Plunder. As I come around.. "Curses" there's another galleon parked... Drop sail and continue on NW to Golden Sands outpost.. I make the rest of the long voyage without incident and cash in... 2,873.. HA!!!
