When the cheaters are found and banned they should be humiliated by hanging their characters at every outpost with their name above them for everyone to see. Atleast for a week or so

They could go in the stocks then and we could throw Tomatoes at them... Although rare already said they're just banning cheaters so I don't think we will see this
I don't see this happening. It's way too dark for this kind of game and it wouldn't really make sense either considering our characters never really die permanently. Plus if the players are banned and hanged or tossed in the stocks it's not like they'll face any embarrassment. They won't be able to see what's happening to their character because they're banned. I think their development time could be spent more efficiently elsewhere.
@kawaii-dumpling Im sure this or some other form of humiliating could be done in a light cartoony way that would suit the current rating as there are skeletons throughout the game already.
Are people ACTUALLY cheating in this game?
I just joined TWO Galleons in my sloop and we teamed up for a skull fort. We ended up fighting another Galleon by themselves who would not sink. I alone put 56 canons into it and who knows how many the Galleons and the Skull for towers put. They ended eventually killing all of us and taking the fort (until one of the Galleons eventually killed them and got their loot back). These guys were also finding us where ever we were and able to shoot us from strange positions. I thought it was from lag and skill but if you saw this ship you'd probably say "There's no way they had enough planks for that."
Today I ran into a troll who entered our crew. He was just not helping and messing around and asked us to brig him and since he was ruining stuff, we brigged him. We started sailing off with out skulls and everything to our next destination when I decided to check on him to see if he left and he wasnt there so I immediately remembered someone telling me that people can escape and it says their still in it so I did and it said he was still locked in so I went to the captains quarters where our loot was and on the way there I saw him jumping into the sea with our villainous skull. I told my crew and they were like report him. So we did and I recorded it on Xbox then we voted him out and voted him back in the brig, little did we know he stashed one of our Gunpowder barrels down there so immediately after brigging him he blew our boat. After we all reported him to Xbox I sent him a message saying your going to get permanently banned for cheating and he replied "Worth it" What can we do about this cheating/ glitching trolls who will turn your time and hard work into a pointless waste of time because the brig does NOTHING now except cause more problems unless one person watches him the WHOLE time but if he escapes before his minimum sentence is up then your screwed and so is your loot/boat. I have a daughter and only have a little time to play when she is asleep and I wasted an hour of my time to have someone purposely troll and then glitch out and escape. I heard only PC players can do it but that doesn't matter. Also earlier that day me and the same crew minus the troll were doing a skull fort. We defeated it uncontested and I lagged out right when I put the stronghold chest in the quarters. Well one of the people in the crew was pretending to be AFK after we finished and invited a friend so it was full by the time they invited me back. They tried to lock human the brig but since there were only 2 votes he didn't get locked and when they got to the outpost he hopped off with the stuff, sold the things and got off and the "AFK" person got off when the other man did. Is there anything they will do about grieving/cheaters and the problem with working hard and lagging out just to not be allowed in to where you put in your work and effort to get the fort loot and having someone get in just to get paid and leave? This game is getting out of control and I love it but won't be able to continue to play if problems aren't solved.
