Its nice doing a little jig, waving and pointing here and there, but with the emphasis on clothes buying , cosmetic stuff etc , a third person view option for full gameplay would be a nice addition.
A third person view option
@princeyboy6060 I like the idea and I also wanted third person view (specially after feeling a little sea sick after my first few play sessions). However do you not think third person would ruin the immersion of the game? I personally dont want to watch my character running along the deck rasing sails lowering anchors I feel like first person puts you into the game. You are the pirate.
I would love 3rd person option as this is how i play games i personally hate 1st person this is the only first person game i play or have really played for many years now. That said i think there would be a huge issue with using equipment etc as the game relies on using actual physical objects, how would you aim your gun look at a compass check a map etc? I just cant see it being possible without adding heads u displays/menus and this would never happen and would be a huge break in the games style.
If, I may make a suggestion. Really, it's a bit of a reminder.
A "long time, ago" there was a game, I played, called "Alone in The Dark". There was an Xbox360 version. "Long story, short...", the game features both camera modes, in a 'strategic way.
Basically, you have your choice of exploration in first-person p.o.v, or third. You can, even, perform melee combat in these modes. The key difference is that, all gun combat, and puzzle interactions are in first person . You, also interface with your inventory in first person. One can equip weapons, or modify them for more damage.
Now, I'm not saying "SOT" has to include all of the above features, but I am suggesting a system that can be used to enhance gameplay for everyone. I think it's "win-win". 3rd-person+1st-person for exploration, melee; 1st-person for guns, maps, inventory, player interactions+communication.
What do you think?

sounds cool and dont get me wrong i would LOVE 3rd person, its my game style of choice (division, wildlands, tomb raider, horizon zero dawn are my top 4 games of this gen and possibly of the last few gens) but flipping between the 2 works if you only have to do it every now and again but what about looking at maps or compass when you can keep checking every couple seconds etc. If they can find a way that would be cool though :)
