cooperative quests

  • I'd like to see some quests that encourage cooperation between crews.

One way I though this could be done was with a sort of "torn map" quest. occasionally, when you find a message in a bottle, it only contains half of a riddle map, and cant be read until it is matched with its other half.

Either, you can search for the other half, or you can team up with another crew who's found the other scrap. if someone else has it, it won't be available to find again until the ship leaves the server.

At this point, the crews need to work together to solve the clues until they reach the end. At the end, a few outcomes are possible. Either...

    1. There is a typical chest, and the crews fight to the death over it's possession.
    2. There is a fork in the clues that lead each crew to a separate chest. there is a possibility each crew can separate peacefully with a pay-day, but there is potential for each crew to stalk the other and steal their loot.
    3. The chest is an enchanted chest that can only be carried by sharing the load between members of each crew. The chest can be carried a few feet by a single pirate (up the ship ladder, for example) but then grows too heavy and requires help from the other crew. The two crews (or at least one member of each crew) then return to the outpost together and each crew receives credit when it is cashed in (a large value, potentially as much as a stronghold chest). If either crew abandons the quest the chest sits where it falls and nobody gets a pay-out.

  • Nice idea. Could be rnd zones on the map where you can join a coop event and get teamed up with another crew. Killin seamonster, Ghostships or Goldconvoys

  • @Cappy-Stones this is an amazing idea. Hope the developers read this

  • crews fight to the death over its possession

This is my favorite option. Honestly, a really cool idea. I have made more random friends online in this game than I have in any other game. Quests like this would not only add variety, but further create that socially-interactive game environment.

  • Love it. Great idea.
