Archeage might not be the best mmo made but how they made fishing was top notch.
*You have boxes on the boat to put fish or you hang them on hocks on the ship.
*The fish schooles spawn then you throw bait in water.
*When fishing theres a minigame where you press keys after the direction the fish is moving.
*The fish have a HP bar and when keys are pressed correctly the fish losses HP, when at zero HP you jump down in the water and carry the the fish onboard like a "chest" in SoT.
*Theres diffrent portes to sell fish similar to SoT .
*Theres diffent tiers of fishing rods.
*Theres diffrent bait,chum,fish breeds,fish sizes.
