Combating Hackers

@kashaarafall You misunderstand me. I want to see gameplay you've recorded. Posting that here breaks absolutely no rules.

You sir win 1st place in beeing a complete [mod edited]. Even i have encountered cheaters, 4 times infact. And im sure MOST of them only use the radar ESP to see where all the treasure is, to boost their cosmetics.

Smile alittle man, you seem stiff.

  • All online games with pvp systems has ESPs for it, its really that simple.

Now this game however, the pvp isnt why they would use ESPs, its for the treasures. There is radar ESP where you can LITERALLY see where everything has spawned, and go get it.

Thats a g******n fact, and i have met atleast 4 players who i could not kill, even 4 blunders to their face and they never ate a banana. 2 of those times we were 2 vs 1, and we couldnt kill him, and he hit us from amazing distances.

Belive it or not, i dont care, there are cheaters, and as people get bored, there will be more.

and stop calling Cheaters - Hackers and cheats - hacks its different words and meanings, please.

Hacker: a person who uses computers to gain unauthorized access to data.

    ESP falls under this definition.

Cheater: a person who acts dishonestly in order to gain an advantage.

    Hackers fall under this definition.

If someone stole all your money from your webservice or from your Visa card - this is hacker, because he hack system to get some valuable info for him.
If someone killing you in game by using aim bot - he is cheater, he didn't make any soft, he didn't know how code work - HE is just Bad at all thats he doing and thats why he using Cheats.

You can try and split hairs all you like, but those definitions are directly from the dictionary.

  • @lumpaywk I disagree. Any game, console or pc has the opportunity for "cheats"

While many of those "cheats" are entered manually on the console themselves and do not impact other players there are reasons they are call "CHEAT" Codes. There has been a fair share of exploits players take advantage of as well.

Halo - Blood Gulch you could jump on top of the map. While more an exploit it was still cheating.

So before your group, all of the "M*********e" players together as a "bunch of cheaters" realize it is the entire gaming community. Players exploit the system by creating infinite waves of mods to level up. In this game players both on console and PC jump server to server to ONLY do forts.

So while there may be a few more options to cheat using the software on a PC than on a console the player base of both have cheaters and have saints.

It is the equivalent of someone saying all console players are whiners because PC players have mouse and keyboard and have an unfair advantage... It simply is not true. There are plenty of k&m players who are not good, there are PC players who use controller, etc.

    • A computer hacker is any skilled computer expert that uses their technical knowledge to overcome a problem. While "hacker" can refer to any skilled computer programmer, the term has become associated in popular culture with a "security hacker", someone who, with their technical knowledge, uses bugs or exploits to break into computer systems.
    • Cheating in online games is defined as the action of pretending to comply with the rules of the game, while secretly subverting them to gain an unfair advantage over an opponent.[1] Depending on the game, different activities constitute cheating and it is either a matter of game policy or consensus opinion as to whether a particular activity is considered to be cheating.

There is a huge difference between exploiting a known glitch and actively manipulating the code or using 3rd party software to cheat. Cheat codes are a fun lil thing developers put in games on purpose for a laugh and not breaking a game to achieve an unfair advantage in pvp. Also i never once said all pc players are cheats i said cheating is rampant on pc and that's why i choose to play console (its not the only reason i also like playing on my tv sat on my sofa, old age gets to us all). The issue is with PC you have access to all the game files and so they can be manipulated. What I was saying is that i thought this was supposed to be resolved with the metro ie (windows secure) apps that didn't allow 3rd party access other than specific information. I realise this was wrong but it looks like MS needs to look at this model a bit closer esp if they plan to merge the pc console market in the next gen.

  • @bonkersy2k i do agree it is an impossibility to do that like just yesterday i ran into some hackers that could consistently one shot me 7 times without fail he did not miss once and i was behind him for most of my deaths which i find very impossible.

Ah the populist and misguided generalizations.

I have only played one multiplayer game on console, Destiny 1...right, it had not PC players...and was infested by hackers, the infamous lag switchers. You don't really need to inject executables to be a cheater, that's the bare and sad truth that none of you want to admit.

Yes, old age gets us all and I play my PS4 with my PC monitor, in my computer desk and in my chair of medieval torture...nah, joke, in a wonderful racing chair, I love it. TV, sofa, puagh.

Yeah I have a full gaming rig set up but I just gave it to my kids, I work in IT so by time I get home I am pretty much done wanting to be anywhere near something that even just looks like a pc lol. It must be how chefs feel when they need to cook dinner lol. and yeah lag switches are deffo a thing but they are easily detected and its not anywhere near as bad. I am not trying to bash pc (to bad) just it is clearly a bigger issue in that platform to the point it become a real issue rather than an occasional thing you see once in a while.

  • @drayman86 How can you be so gullible!!? This is a channel well known for scamming people into buying 'hacks/cheats' that simply don't exist!

  • Wow so many people did not realize its built on Unreal Engine, what did you expect. Go back in history and lookup the worst one ever developed for Unreal Engine..... Made loads of cash, these new ones are just a different cut down version of the original idea.

I do think its time to look at the real problem here, anything built on unreal i am almost looking to stay away from. Conan, Ark, Sea of thieves... same cheats. Its the way they have to hook around the engine and if they have to inject the cheat. after or before. Its all just the process but it never changes the fact they are the same cheats we had years ago.

Its a free engine, until you make money from it... so no up front costs to develop ALPHA games on it like sea of thieves. Yes its an ALPHA game...

  • @Runtimusprime Couldn't be more right.

'Quick! Go get Mummy's credit card so you can buy these perfectly legitimate hacks!'

These kids must be new to the internet.

  • @mythicalfable but it's a casual cartoon pirate game f*s...

  • @kashaarafall FYI, you might want to delete that video. Keeping it in your post will likely result in some form of ban as they have taken a zero tolerance attitude towards it.

I'm aware, I kept it up long enough for the naysayers to see it, but it grows tiresome of people acting like they don't exist. I literally typed "Sea of Thieves Hacks" into youtube and it was one of the top videos.

  • @Kashaarafall That is the first video I have seen that shows any credibility.

  • @runtimusprime As I told Porkin, all he had to do was type sea of thieves cheats, hacks, god mode etc into google or youtube. Posting things like that on the forums is against their rules and likely results in suspension/ban. Which is why my post said at the risk of me getting in trouble.

  • @kashaarafall Still waiting for legitimate recorded user gameplay as proof.

Providing marketing videos from known scam sites that actively trick naive and gullible people into buying fake 'hacks/cheats' is not proof. These people are very good at making you believe they're real and you're falling for it all too well.

  • @porkin5 As I've told you, as I've shown you, as others have told me. Posting cheating videos is against the rules on the forums. Look it up if you want to see it. I am not going to do your dirty work for you, but the videos exist outside of sales videos.
