- Do shipwreck spawn randomly around the map or are they always in the same spot.
- If ships dont spawn and stays in 1 spot at all time, how long does it take for treassure to respawn?
Question regarding shipwrecks.
@gbto92 I believe they spawn from the storm as it moves about the map.
They eventually do disappear, though I think they have static spots where they can spawn throughout the world.
@luciansanchez82 I want to know if the depth of the ship tells your how much loot will be there.. harder the visibility better rewards seems to be a thing but I am just guessing.
@bustylegroove Would be interesting to know. I can't say I've seen a pattern, but then again I hadn't considered it before.
They seem to be random, but stay in the same spot per server. I have a crewmate with eagle eyes that stays in the crows nest, we do tons of ship wrecks. We'll do one, and much later it'll still be there.
It seems to max out at 3 treasures, and I think they respawn 1 at a time. Im guessing 30 minutes apart.
These are just assumptions based on doing them alot, I haven't logged any kind of data. I've been wondering these things myself.@w8-4-meeee I've had five items from one wreck a few times, on one occasion two of those were in the Captain's cabin o_O. Never seen more than that though.

@oldmansutii Awesome! Good to know. Since I've never found more than 3, I've gotten to where I stop searching once I hit 3 lol.
Also I've only found something in the captain's quarters a few times, but I still look there every time just in case.@w8-4-meeee Aye, something spawning in the Captain's is definitely rare, I was very surprised that time there were two chests in there; Captain's and a Crapaway.
Shipwrecks will always be in the same spots, they’re not generated they’re part of the map. As a side note barrels floating in the water are in the same locations as well. They do however seem to spawn in and out and aren’t always present.
Loot can spawn upwards of 5 things from what I’ve seen, haven’t personally seen more but it’s possible. As for respawning items I haven’t been able to test anything but it seems to come back every 30 minutes to an hour and not all at once.
