  • why, so the salties can rage report the people who sunk them? pfft no

  • @brandonblk Whilst an in game report tool might be handy, being able to do it out of game, and taking a little time to compile the report properly will help Rare investigate your claim better.

Here's a link to raise a support ticket with Rare (might need to give it a few seconds to load properly.)

    https://support.seaofthieves.com/hc/en-gb/requests/new?ticket_form_id=246988

    Hope this helps matey.

  • @lowbei whilst true, it would be nice to like, report people for breaking the "rules" Eg Rule 3

what, about killing people at outposts? thats not an official rule. i often camp the gold hoarder tent and kill people who bring in chests. people need to be aware of their surroundings, especially when carrying loot!

  • @lowbei so you are also part of the problem.
also it kinda is an official rule when its put in by the devs and is in easy plain veiw

nah. its a piece of paper in game that some people take too seriously.

  • @lowbei thats like saying "oh i can cheat in this game because the rules are just some code written by some guys"
You cant just do that, it doesnt matter HOW the rules are written just that they are, and they should actually work

  • @brandonblk

    Article 3
Disputes Are Settled upon the Waves
None shall quarrel or overly dissent against another crew, but let every engagement be settled by sword, pistol and good seamanship.

What this code says, created by the community, not the developers, by the way, is keep it in the game. Don't take in game beef into real life and start sending messages and harassing them outside of the game.

  • @crash4654 Disputes are settled on the waves
    not inside an outpost tent

dont worry, i have no disputes with the people i kill at the outpost tent. nothing personal, its just business.

  • Why would you want to report a player when you don't want them to have repercussions? If they just play the game and be a pirate, you don't need to report them. If they harrass you in voice chat, just report them on XBL. It's not that reporting them automatically causes a ban. I think you can trust the guys at Microsoft to evaluate what should be done.

  • @brandonblk read that part beneath it. The waves are the sea are the game. The outposts are on the waves. They're an island like any other.

"None shall quarrel or overly dissent against another crew, but let every engagement be settled by sword, pistol and good seamanship."

This part states don't take it too hard. Fight it out, win, or lose, just don't drag it out and make it something it doesn't need to be. Keep it in the game. Reading comprehension is your friend. Read more than the first line.

How does your post even relate to the quote?

    @brandonblk

It's common practice / a good tone to disallow name-calling in online-forums because it is so easily abused.

  • @brandonblk has nothing to do with keeping it in the game, but at that same token, all I can say is work harder, get better.

Think ahead. Be proactive instead of reactive and you'll have an easier time of the game period.

  • I just had a random (wolfraiderr) join my game while I was doing a mwe chant mission. Grabbed a chicken coop and jumped over board. Loaded back in, grabbed another, jump overboard. Then ran my ship into a rock. So. If I hadn't recorded the situation when it happened, there is no way I would have been able to report him. And seeing I reported him on xbox, nothing will come of it, most likely. So. We need a way to report players in game. Reporting to xbox live does nothing.
