Friend location

    Is there any chance of adding friends location on the map? It’s hard to see where they are sometimes if they’re far away from you or when you’re re-spawning

    probably will not be added since it can ruin immersion in the game for some players. Instead, I'd suggest shooting your guns in the air to find each other, since sound is directional. Or using landmarks and/or a compass ("I'm at the wrecked ship on the northeast coast").

    Basically, you have to find your friends the way pirates would.

    Shoot with the blunderbuss into the sky. It's both a visual and audible clue for your team mates to where you are.

    or play some music, there's even a quick chat like "follow the music"

    As it is I wish the ship's location wasn't on the map, haha. Or at least not the orientation.

    @madmaninblack have you tried the compass and talking to them? This is one of the great aspects of this game.

    I just want a flare gun or something similar, not only would it add another way to attack ships with fire, it could be a way to signal to your teammates your location. But it may not be historically accurate.

    I wish theyd at least turn off the name above your head to enemies. Hard to sneak up on someone with a glowing white nameplate hovering about your head...
