Glitch that makes you unraidable

@ddu-whitetiger Sounds more like a working mechanic to prevent boarders rather than a glitch.

Did it occur to shoot them PRIOR to trying to climb the ladder??

If you're on the sloop (small ship) and stay at the top of the ladders and hit / shoot people on the ladder it knocks them off. If one person just stays at the top of the ladder its impossible for the enemy to get on the ship. To me this is broken because I was just raiding someone and they used this and when I say Impossbile I really mean impossible. The second I would get on the ladder I would get hit and it would knock me off. This should be fixed to where you can actually get on peoples ships with the ladder.

The ladder is just one of several ways to board a ship. I like to let ladder boarders get all the way up, that way it's a kill instead of a knockback...

They don't need ladders to board your ship. Ram and jump from bow sprit is the most common ship boarding technique I've seen.

So much for "impossible".

They grabbed planks and patched the holes.
To me this is broken and really makes sinking ships impossible.
This should be fixed and all planks need to be removed from the game right MEOW! 😼😄

I know this is a joke but I did participate in a thread a few days ago that was complaining about this very topic. A boat was unsinkable despite having taken several cannonballs and I just explained how planks work.

Sounds to me like whoever you were raiding was just being smart and guarding their ship. If you can't get on board, sink em.
