Me think a mighty virus is spreading in the seas..(bug on MS)

  • Ahoy, everyone since the release of the new update and the game pass bug, something strange happened I tried to update the game but in vain it never worked I am no landlubber maybe they try to run a rig on me'.

Tried WSreset (reset the whole cache of Microsoft store)
Tried disconnecting my account, reboot pc, cancel the installation and redownload
Tried to google the error code nothing but some rubbish explanation.
Also, this only happens at the installation it's downloading perfectly fine and I tried on 2 of my disk my SSD and my HDD didn't work on both.

Does someone have the same problem as me?

Just loading the Microsoft Store should be creating cache files, if it's not then yeah, you have a different issue entirely. To make sure, close the Microsoft Store, go to Task Manager and shutdown the background application, same name: Microsoft Store. I doubt it's relevant at all, but make sure the cache files aren't sitting in your Recycle Bin, I don't think Windows touches it once it's there, but it can't hurt to try.

Launch the store and see if any files/folders appear in your user's AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.WindowsStore_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalCache folder. If the files did appear, clear 'em again, restart and cross your fingers. If not, make sure you're not in a different user's folder otherwise... uh... try updating the computer and restarting? Maybe use PowerShell to delete the Microsoft Store from your computer and then reinstall it.
