So as you may know there is already an issue with skull forts and how people who get sunk are back in like 3 minutes. Well, today that played against some, and in favor for some.
So it all started off with me and a random, we went to the fort, and since he was new to the concept and wanted to know what it was, we went, we actually had a tough time (we both died many times). After how many minutes we got up to the metallic skeletons and such, so my mind was like, okay, were getting there.
At some point I had died and respawned on my lower sloop deck, and I had started to hear cannons firing. I thought to myself that a skeleton got on the cannon right next to our ship since one was right next to where we parked and started shooting at us, since that happened twice already, but I heard like 3 cannons go off at once.
I come up top to see a boat with blue sails speeding toward our ship with like 4 skeletons firing at them with their aim bot (lol), since I know that people tend to just sink me at forts, I joined in, boy did that duo sink fast. Anyway, they came back, and I actually had zero bananas and cannon balls, but we actually talked and we agreed to do it together, two sloops, and would split the check. (Don't know if there would have been a betrayal as what happens next literally turns the tables.) At this point my random is afk facepalm...
After like 5 minutes, the captain spawns, were like yes! However, as soon as he spawns, I hear one of the other sloop fellows screaming running at me, a four man galleon pulls up to the fort out of nowhere and barrages our ships. Long story short we sank and as I was heading back, I saw the blue sailed sloop heading there too. By the time I was close to the fort, the sloop had engaged the galleon and they were hauling it to the closest outpost, the one I just came from.
I get a few shots in, but the galleon gets past us, straight shot at the outpost. The sloop gets besides me as I turn around, and we both told each other, sink that galleon no matter what! They have our hard earned loot! Shortly after, they are pretty much 40 seconds from the outpost, and out of nowhere someone boarded me and I got a face full of shotgun. Well okay... I should have seen that coming. I respawn to the other sloop boarded as well as I see the gun shots in the distance as it turns away.
I turn around expecting the galleon to be at the outpost unloading, but oh my god this was the best karma I had ever seen. My eyes fell onto the most divine intervention, the galleon was literally in the grasps of the kraken, and shortly after sank. After some time, I waited for the kraken to despawn so I could actually traverse with my ship to the loot as the black water makes it neigh impossible to move. Out of nowhere however, there was a glitch that literally had my whole ship covered in holes, like no joke, I heard the wood breaking and saw the holes just appearing. In seconds, sunk.
This wasn't the end though, I swam all the way to where I saw the galleon sink, and to my surprise, I saw the stuff 3/4 of the way to the sea floor. I managed to swim down and grab the stronghold chest and swim it the 3 minutes in shark infested water to the outpost to sell it. I was on my last 'naner and had no more ammo since I got bit a few times and had to stop, shoot the shark with my blunder, heal, and continue on. As I got there, behold, the galleon passes by to go to where it sank, and after 30 seconds of sitting somewhat near the area, it left.
Long story short If you go to steal some person loot at a fort because you want to mess with someone's day, you best not hope the karma kraken ye not appear.
